CoX has an excellent character creator...but that's about it. You are stuck doing the same content over and over to get slightly better enhancements to barely improve your powers OR you'll make a new character with a different concept and then proceed to do the same thing over and over.

If only the Mission Creator allowed for more creativity and/or the private servers had moved beyond glorified balance/power changes/content restoration...

Either way it's dead, but not because it was boring though it always seemed to be the black sheep of the "Big Three."

But one brilliant thing AC had was the vassal system. Players could pledge themselves as vassals to other players, ideally, old players who had experience, money, and equipment to share. In exchange, the liege got a bit of xp from everything their vassal did. Eventually, these players would go out and find vassals of their own who, in turn, would not only reward them with xp, but the original liege as well.

In other words, it was a gigantic pyramid scheme that encouraged players to support one another. It worked, I got a lot of great stuff from a dude for being his vassal, pity I couldn't play long.

Please play this game with me. I can play tonight if anyone is interested. I recommend we play restoration and get a party going. We can play legends too but if we party up we will just breeze through the content. I'll be happy to tank or heal on either game.
I don't think we have enough time to play classic but that might be interesting too.

Are we actually planning to mount a credible invasion of that game? I think I had some level of technical familiarity with it, enough to warrant taking a whack at it, but there is not sufficient interest.

UO did this in varying degrees and continues to be one of the only actual world MMOs, though there were major shifts to add more action with the coming of Age of Shadows.

I'll play. I don't think @Tweed has any interest in the super-endgame content of THJ (Seru 4/4, Sleeper, Zeb), so we'll probably wrap up shortly, like within a day or two. We just have Quarm left.

I'll probably try out medic. None of the combat classes seem very appealing, besides beastmaster but that seems to be an accessory you bolt on to a real class. I have never mained a healer before so this will be interesting. Healer with pet.

From the research I have done, smugglers can effectively wield melee weapons like an axe. Ofcourse there is Jedi but their availability varies depending upon whether you are playing pre or post NGE revamp. Commandos can wield heavy weapons like acid launchers. Everyone else will probably use a blaster.
