► A Few Random Thoughts
Overall Game Rating For ATOM RPG: Trudograd:
Image
(If you liked the original ATOM RPG, this is more of that.)

I wish they'd made the combat better, but aside from that I have few complaints. A good follow up to the original ATOM RPG. The conglomerate seemed interesting, hope they'll show up again in the third game.

Took me way longer to get through Trudograd than I was expecting, but that was more of an issue with free time on my end than game length. Image

Feel like I missed a 4th party member somewhere?
Who is the third? No, there's only 2 companions max.

Counting the player character there were three party members in my group. You can see more open character slots in the save/load menu. (The player character, Hexogen and Razin.)

I was kind of hoping that Arashi would join after being saved on the boat. No such luck though.

I like that I can join the police force in this one. Also that the maps are smaller so there is less walking to the map transition boundary. Seems like they decided the Dead City idea from ATOM deserved to be a full game. Not sure how the cold mechanic will play out, but in theory it is a good idea to change something like that to make the product feel less like a mission pack.

Cold mechanic is inconsequential I must say. Radiation was much more impactful.

Things I like better in Trudograd:
-overall structure, I like the idea of being a frontier lawman and solving cases
-smaller map sizes, makes it easier to find the interactive elements
-didn't feel overly long

Things I like better in ATOM:
-helping quest givers
-exploring the first vault
-melee combat seemed more viable

I'm not sure if this is a weird Russian cultural quirk, or some sort of social commentary on Russian culture, but a lot of my policework involves telling someone I'm investigating them and them confessing instantly. I was expecting to at least have to find 3 pieces of evidence first or for some of them to go down shooting.

Overall, I'd say that Trudograd probably could have benefitted from cutting the revolutionary main quest path and putting that effort into making the existing police path quests more robust.

I posted my mod in the ATOM thread, but it speeds up how fast you walk on maps.
It also speeds up how fast you move on the overworld map but this actually adjusts the timescale so it's not cheating, you still move at the same rate relative to gametime

Are the chances for random encounters equal for the same distance between vanilla game and this mod?

Should be, it just adjusts the timescale

If you have achievements for a game, you can probably show them to prove you have the achievement for beating it. If it's possible, that would work better than just showing playtime.

Nevermind, this was one of the first of your updates I read so I didn't realize you'd already been doing it :D

EDIT: I'm ********.
