Steam Summer Sale 2025
Sonic X Shadow Generations
Tempest Rising (from keysite because it was cheaper)
Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy
Also got some cheaper stuff. Only game I've played so far is Astral Throne. It's a fire emblem roguelike. Seems fun so far. Robocop will be a good pickup if the side quest ******** doesn't **** me off. However, I did end up refunding Terminator: Resistance from the same devs because I was expecting COD with robots and it played more like Fallout or Stalker. Ether Vapor, Anomaly Agent, Skate VR, Agent Intercept, Silence of the Siren, Shredder's Revenge, Virtua Fighter 5, and I'm done.
I was close to pulling the trigger on Baten Kaitos, Fantasian Neo Dimension, and Space Marine 2, but I decided I didn't really have time to play a bunch of jrpgs and Hundred Line was the long game I wanted most. And no reason really to get Space Marine until I'm done with Doom on gamepass. Akai Katana Shin was also at a new low but I decided to wait out a bigger discount. I already have Psyvariar Delta and Batsugun Saturn Tribute and haven't played them much, but they are the better deals than Akai Katana right now.
That King Arthur game everyone is buying--I have always been interested in it but read that the combat gets extremely tedious.

Witcher 1 combat is the best of allrusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ June 27th, 2025, 07:17Witcher 1 is very good if you can get past the weird combat.Makirige wrote: ↑ June 27th, 2025, 07:02Personally, I got the whole of The Witcher, because I had this game on GoG but I want it all on Steam lol
I think there are some instances of problematic translations along the lines of what we are seeing in many games these days.

currently waiting for this to drop even lower 40% discount for a 10 year old game and still costing $26 is just too much. Minecraft with zombies game, where you can build fortresses and see how the the zombies hoardes every 7 days try to break in, currently playing an older cracked version and digging a channel arround my base, even had to break open the road. And will probably have to dig another 1km trench to fill it with water from the nearest river.
But the vanilla progression with magazines kinda sucks if you cant even get a concrete mixer before you find 30 magazines. Unless you lucky and merchant sells it maybe but only visited 2 yet and they way too expensive anyway and all the concrete mixers/workbenches in the world ofc dont work and cant be repaired and taken with you.![]()
What about State of Decay 2 at 75% off?

Yes, a female character is voiced by a ***** in the English VA.
I wouldn't use the english VA anyways but it's all so tiresome.gerey wrote: ↑ June 27th, 2025, 20:57Yes, a female character is voiced by a ***** in the English VA.
About as woke as Steins;Gate
There's some slight faggotry, but it's sparse enough for me to overlook it.

No one gives a **** that you pirate in Russia. Every other country tries to **** you for pirating.
Edit: Not saying this in a negative way. If I could pirate without anyone giving a ****, I would probably have a thousand SSDs full of content.

It's a fantastic game. I think I made a thread about it or at least posted about it on the forum.
I ended up buying Volcano Princess because I'm a big Princess Maker fan. It's missing the silly Japanese type degeneracy that PM has though.
I'm considering buying Persona 3 Reload. P3 is my least favorite out of 3, 4, and 5, but maybe I'd enjoy the remake more.
Once again I must reiterate No games worth paying for the asking price.

Replikator is looking good. I assume you have already played Synthetik, but Starward Rogue is another good similar game. Definitely get the Gold edition with the DLC.
Not neccessarly a generational thing, I know at least of one millenial who also got 1 letter from a big studio lawyer for torrenting and then never bothered to pirate again. But yeah if you dont know what sites to use and some are blocked with certain internet providers or they dont show up on most big search engines anymore, it should be pretty hard to get into that. If you dont know of a forum specialized on sharing this information.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ June 27th, 2025, 23:13He's a zoomer who can't into technology that isn't a smartphone appVaako wrote: ↑ June 27th, 2025, 23:12Finarfin wrote: ↑ June 27th, 2025, 09:44
No. Used VPN for months and still some ******* managed to find out.
But the days of the PC are probably numbered anyway with the current hardware prices.
I bought the following games. Have only played Frostpunk so far.
Frostpunk 1, due to playing through the Belobog/frozen over space Russia arc of Honkai Star Rail, which reminded me of this game so I decided to give it a try. I have gotten addicted to it over today and yesterday, will post more indepth thoughts later but overall I am quite enjoying it and would recommend it if it looks like something that appeals to you. The sequel sounds somewhat different so I am thinking of grabbing that and checking that one out too.
Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos. Because @Bertram_Tung posted screenshots of it a while back, I decided to add this to the cart. But I would probably play Hardwar first.
Hardwar. Last week we were talking about space sims and I remembered playing this one game about flying around an underground city. I spent some time looking on the internet and asking chatgpt, but couldn't find it, but stumbled upon this. It sounds interesting, flying around a localized area doing some logistics stuff in a spaceship.
Hotel Giant 2. I had this game for PC many, many years ago, but I was young and the game eluded me at the time. I remember getting a big hotel but then very quickly running out of money trying to fill in the rooms, even when I was trying to be as lean as possible. Perhaps this time I might have a better understanding of what you are supposed to do... or maybe there were game design issues. Idk.
Tlatoani: Aztec Cities. The aesthetics/background and the unique Mesoamerican canal/marsh city theme attracted me to it.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos is one of the best games of all time.

Surprised you don't already have Total War: Warhammer.
Should I paypig for Drova: Forsaken Kin?
So far I've completed my Warhammer 1 and 2 DLC collections, bought King Arthur on rusty's recommendation (it's gud) and a bunch of stuff on GOG.
Also bought this one, it's great dumb fun, only disappointing thing is that cutscenes and turret sections keep breaking up the action, I wish it played more like Desert Strike and its ilk:

Brother has played this ( Drova ) and things 'similar' like Doors of Trithius, Stone Shard I (think ? ) and a third one. He didn't like it. He mentioned some decisions in game that you can't refuse/get around like some forest purge/eco destroying bs that he didn't like. We spoke about it, don't recall all of it atm but it made him quit it. I trust his judgment. Regarding the copter game, I recall a copter game ( maybe PS1..? ) where you controlled a heli but can't seem to recall it... Reminds me of the LAPD Future Cop mech game.
No, don't support that game in any way. The dev is an EXTREME G*rman libtard.
Bought Independence War 2 and Hardwar as those looked very interesting. Thanks @Bertram_Tung and @Val the Moofia Boss for posting about it.
