Well, if there should be some gay-furry instead of handsome white dude, then mods are working.
Thank you.

Findal and Loic in the Emerald Groove are stil midgets that looks like coach-surfers only the beer and chips missing. Is this RR as intended, or do I have another mod messing with it?
(Not complaining, just wondering as I have quite a lot of mods)

Left Loic because a handful of halflings/gnomes in the Grove don't really contribute to much, but also they aren't really that big of an eyesore either. Might make him into a human if that's what fits environment better.

Completely forgot about Findal, actually. I'll have to go and listen to his voice in game to see if it would be an easy swap fix or he'll need voice work done.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their hard work on this, it's been a lot of fun to play. There's another Reddit meltdown about it if anyone is bored. Not sure how long it will stay up though

https://www.reddit.com/r/BG3mods/s/jHmCqHVoTj
Was we tricked into racism when we saw a show about black queen of England? or black Cleopatra? Always amused me how race swapping white characters into black ones are okay but the other way around is a war crime level offense.

Btw, don't know if i in minority her or other way around, but in my demented outlook on things I'd say the RR is the mod that removes racism from the game, because Faerun supposed to represent fantasy version of medieval Europe, not modern California. And RR returns in the game that - representation and immersion contrary to vanilla - some weird simulacrum populated by blue-haired, black-skinned cosplayers from USA, and orcs with squeaky voices and pink pigtails (because masculinity bad)

In the setting of Faerun, largely based on Tolkien's stories, which in turn based on European folklore, inclusion of demographics that represent modern USA and not medieval Europe is immersion breaking. So by installing RR we made this game less racist, because demographics based on setting logic is not racist, demographics based on political ideals are.

Ummm ackshually :geek: FaerΓ»n is a world-spanning super continent, but almost all of the stories and modules focus on the Sword Coast, which is based on Europe... or it was until 5E decided the Sword Coast was based on a Renaissance Faire in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

But you are correct. It is completely immersion breaking and insane to expect players to take a Renaissance Faire seriously.

Since when do bandits get "diversity"? Or is this just because they’re supposed to be criminals? Found this ****** thing lurking in the first ruins.

I arrived at Cazador fight. First the mod was running fine. Then the moment the scene with Astarion facing him after the fight it stopped working. But even worse, Astarion was completely naked. Completely...

Oh wait, I'm looking on reddit and it's apparently another mod that is causing this glitch. I'm removing it right now and 'll make the test.

I removed this one https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/ ... escription

I installed it for my next run with an evil DUrge romancing Minthara, I really don't know why it was conflicting with this scene. Especially where the first scene (when we arrive at the ritual) was perfectly fine. Then suddenly the scene after the fight was completely glitched.

Since this mod is one single .pak for multiple characters, I get it why it would conflict with Astarion. But Cazador I don't know.

I found another inconsistency.

In Act 1 Derryth Bonecloak describes Baelen as "Bald, Blue tunic, dumb as a stick"
Except Baelen was changed and is no longer bald.
Maxim 14: "Mad Science" means never stopping to ask "what's the worst thing that could happen?"

Yenna is correct in her portrait, and when examined, but the actual in-world model still has heterochromia and orange hair.

Just got to the Gur camp in Rivington. Can't believe you didn't rename a single NPC to Nick Gur.

Act 3 - Rivington - Dringo
Described as "the boy" by a woman standing next to him that looks young enough to be his granddaughter and mentioned as a "boy" in PC dialogue. His voice acting and mannerisms don't match that mature face, so clearly something got messed up with this guy.

I'm in my "second first run", as during my very first run (started during Patch 5) I have a lot of mods that needed to be updated when Patch 6 dropped, so I had to wait for the updates, then again with 7, and when Patch 8 was released as the final patch, then I could finally restart my game with the mods I could use that weren't abandoned.

While playing, I encountered a certain character that, after basically saving him, he sees me as a rival and wants to kill me. When I saw him I though,"ey, I don't remember you being so handsome during my first first run". I checked the wiki, to see if there were any ******* way to deal with this ******* in a different way, and it was then when I saw his profile in there, and holly ****, I was so **** right about his look!

And that has happened in several occasions by now. Not that I contrasted more characters, but I had to stop sometimes to... appreciate the look of some characters that were "to beautiful to be vanilla" for sure.

So thank you so much for letting us enjoy the ride while also enjoying much better views.

I know you guys don't want to make a dozen special changes or options to the mod, but I recently talked to Counsillor Florrick in Last Light Inn.
While I think she looks great, her current face just does not fit her voice at all. I really think giving her back her vanilla head model while keeping the rest of the changes would be vastly more fitting :Inspector:

Because we tried to avoid as many "changes for the sake of changing" that held no meaningful visual or lore friendly impact.
We did talk about "upgrading" Lakrissa for several reasons, so maybe she'll get her glow-up in the coming patch, with option to restore her to a simpler, previous RR version as well.
