Looking more into this. Seems like it could be Starfield if it was good.

Blades of Fire is good, it will be a commercial failure though since it is a epic exclusive. Would've been really eaten up if it released on steam. It is pretty nice so far. Sure it is a soulsloppa but the weapon crafting is cool and it runs well and no bugs.

Yes, it's a good roguelike, but it still has quite a way to go. The main quest isn't complete and most of the magic systems aren't in yet, for instance.

https://doorsoftrithius.com/roadmap/

This was also included in a recent update (I haven't played it in a while so I don't know how this actually shows up in-game. They may have girl-bossed it up.

Female Appearance
Women now appear across Enalia as town NPCs and bandits.

During world generation gender is assigned randomly, with job-based weighting. For example, Druids, Bakers, and Botanists are more likely to be women; Smiths, Butchers, and Bandits less so. The result loosely mirrors medieval norms while still allowing for randomness.

I was going to reply with the little angry guy but as long as the weighting is done well that's actually fine(and how I'd prefer it to be)

This rolled across my desk, looks interesting, releases into early access in 2 days.

Can't think of any games I can directly compare it to right off the top of my head, more like a mix of games. Seems interesting.

The UI reminds me quite a bit of something but I can't put my finger on it. A few games, actually.

Nookrium is way less annoying than splattercat(and less terrible), has become my goto to find info on just released/upcoming smaller titles.

I was going to say that Splattercat did a Remore preview play awhile back. I'm glad you've found a replacement for him, I'll check the channel out.

The next Amberland has been announced!

Right before the second one was released, in 2023, I picked up the first in hopes it would scratch an itch and I could carry that momentum into the 2nd. It didn't quite work out that way. While the graphics don't turn me off, I was turned off by the relatively lifeless world and fairly simplistic minute-to-minute gameplay. Towns being essentially a menu screen didn't help either. I get that the games are a love letter to the old 90s game. I just wasn't in the right mood to play something like that, I guess. To their credit, from what I read, they did add actual town maps you could explore in the 2nd game.

That said, the "Notable features" of the 3rd game look to be copy/pasted from the 2nd's announcement. So, I'm not sure what improvements they did for this one.

Additionally, this does remind me to look up more about their Stellar Monarch series.

For some bizarre reason Elder Legacy has been renamed to YAR. The multiplayer spin-off is still called Elder Legacy: Survival.

Greetings everyone!
We've decided to change the game's title to YAR — an ancient Slavic word meaning a slope, ravine, or riverbank — precisely the kind of shore where the main character arrives at the beginning of his journey. It symbolizes the starting point of the hero's story.

Besides, Elder Legacy always felt a bit generic and uninspired to me. I believe YAR may capture more attention thanks to its mystery and uniqueness.

P.S. The in-game title will still show as Elder Legacy for now, as I can't update the game at this moment. All core systems have been affected — including balance, combat, and many others — so the main menu will reflect the new name only with the next major update this summer.

This 1.0 releases tomorrow. It's technically a ***** RPG and actually pretty good, with a lot of reactivity. The first character is a reporter put into jail and you have 21 days to escape. There's a new story/character added with the new update who is a cop.

I have so much trouble getting into Vogel's games. It's like playing an echo of a better game.

I enjoyed the first game I played quite a lot, but have gotten into each subsequent one less and less. It felt like the UI and game mechanics didn't change from title to title, or series to series.
