The names are blurred, it's obviously not an image taken by rusty.

also, you can blow up asteroids to mine them for resources

also also, the higher level areas have magnetic storms or whatever they are
get the **** out of the area ASAP, that **** will destroy your ship

also also also, space is persistent

also also also also, I found a companion in the far reaches of space that none of the journalists covered. Obviously they didn't actually play the game, just played ~20% of it then reviewed it.

Is there one speed? I don't understand why you couldn't burn your space gas to fly to a planet in ten minutes and get stranded there for pirates to spawn to you, or coast guard to haul you back home.
I'm gonna make a full post on this soon after I get all my FACTOIDS straight.. (since rusty loves to nitpick everything I say between Todd blowjob sessions)

You basically fly your spaceship like your in a mario kart game, you have a set speed based on your equipment & energy input, and then you can do a thruster boost to temporarily increase your speed (when you eat a mushroom)..

For all the coping Rusty does about "muh realism" though - it is very interesting.... after your "thruster speed boost", your ship seems to magically slow down after, almost like the vacuum of space has magic-space-******-friction or something...? :smug:

Rusty will say it's your reverse thrusters that you use when you break or reverse in-game.. but uhm.. I didn't hit those after my speed boost.. If I am constantly thrusting myself forward, I should be gaining momentum.. that's the other side of the "space is big" realism coin.. interesting that "realism" is ok when it means your not allowed to leave the cuckshed.. but when it benefits me as a player, then 'game design' takes precedence. :Inspector:

definitely did not visit all star systems so I suspect this is bugged
theory: it just counts the number of systems visited regardless of NG+

Needs a good URL that guests can access, something like www.rpghq.org/vault/mods . Without that it's an uphill battle.

Doesn't look like they host their own mods, those file links are going to rot.

So I'm about 60ish hours in, close to beating the main quest, ignoring faction quests now. (as per @rusty_shackleford guidance.. I bow before his star lord mastery)

And so far.. I can confirm. NO BLACK HOLES **** THIS GAME NO BLACK HOLES!!!

The nearest possible blackhole is further away than any of the star systems present ingame afaik.

Did a quest that required me to get a fancy, expensive item
as part of the persuasion process I promised I'd return it

So, is ship speed in km/s? It's not clear.
I guess km/s would make sense?

It's also physically inaccurate in that your ship has a 'top speed' in space, rather than constantly accelerating.
It would take my ship a bit under 50 minutes to go from the earth to the moon. 36 days to go from earth to mars. Admittedly it is a rather slow freighter.

I wonder if Bethesda is planning to ditch "raise by use" in TES6, and Starfield's system where you must perform minor challenges to upgrade perks is a test run of their new system?

Has any other RPG used this system before? It's interesting, I suppose.

A lot of the game looks fine/great, the problem is that it's inconsistent. You can see the outsourcing.

Hypothetical question.. if you could save one white man who was cowardly and let his colleagues die.. or an entire research building of multicultural scientists who would you choose?

Not related to a quest or anything, just hypothetical...

I gave my answer here, along with reasoning:

I thought it was a very good quest, btw.

- you know, your game doesn't run quite well, maybe it needs optimization fixes or something...
- buy a better computer.
