Witchcraft belongs to women, which is what's being referred to here: this is Warhammer 40K related you dips.

I agree.

Witchcraft at its core is basically accepting a "bargain" that only someone who doesn't thinks things through would accept; be powerful during the short mortal years you will be alive and then spend the rest of eternity after death being punished for it.

That's why I mentioned Odin, he went through hell and back - literally - for runic knowledge that from that point forward only belonged to him thanks to his efforts and sacrifice.

So obtaining power in a quick and easy way from someone else by cheating vs putting your effort into it. I think the latter is far more "man-coded" if you ask me.

I wanna play as a space marine doing space marine ****
Specifically, Space Hulk ****.
What a ******* underutilized setting, in literature as well as any kind of adaptations.
Best we've got so far is the board game and its video game adaptations, ranging from okay to mediocre, and the card game, which is great (for a card game).

Yeah, I don't think a man would ever take a Faustian bargain.

Is there even one equivalent of a super old wizened wizard character like Gandalf or Dumbledore or Elminster or Merlin that isn't a man and isn't an evil witch?
No because if a woman gains super wizard powers and isn't completely insane, #1 thing she does is getting rid of the "old and wizened" part.

The idea of vikings being "no magic for men bros" is super funny when you stop to realize that their divine chieftain Odin/Wotan is literally the God of Magic.
Truly, the psy op against men has worked all too well if people believe magic and might has any right belonging to women. Yes, many ancient cultures commonly had fertility/womanly matron deities at their heads. Guess what happened to them? They were conquered by cultures that worshipped a fatherly God heading their pantheon. Not only is matriarchy a doomed political system, it is doomed in a religious context. The vikings went as far as they did precisely because they recognised the guiding hand of a father and not the resentful emotional gaze of the mother.

That's why women mages in classic literature tended to inherit their powers from demonic bargains, rituals, or deals with ancient mother deities that scorned the rise of man.
I blame JK Rowling. Her terrible books spoiled the minds of 2, maybe 3 generations. Without the poison of her writing, young boys would see a stick and play as if it was a knife, sword or spear depending on the length of the stick. Almost like recalling their genetic ancestry as warriors.

Only the pussies that grew up raised by a single mom and read (and liked!) the garbage that is the Harry Potter franchise would think otherwise. A trusty spear to pierce the heart of the beast and a reliable sword to slit the beast's throat as he pants on the ground after being skewered. Warriors are brave, stoic and masculine. The perfect role model for a young boy to aspire to become.

Shouldn't they finish their current game first? They're already months late on dlc

I will give them credit for being the only rpg dev of note capable of making games still.

I know this is an Ordo Hereticus game, but I'd like to see Deathwatch at work. There were a lot of aliens and daemons in the trailer.

I really wish someone would make a good Deathwatch turn-based game.

The IP is practically begging for it.

Since they included a Space Wolf in Rogue Trader, there's a chance this game will feature a space marine companion too.

It’s going to base on the Rogue Trader combat system.

Thanks. Hard pass.

Some predictions about the game :
  • At least 1/3 of abilities wouldn't work at launch
  • A stupid minigame that wouldn't work
  • Combat based upon stacking 564646546841351856746564646834368 debuffs and 65463543684631 buffs to get 4613654545186764 attributes so I can deal 5643646531685343516156 damage against a enemy with 75161515536468346534685441634685468748946541856468 hp. And if you don't stack 365483964863748943 buffs and debuffs, any common enemy can survive 54465053 shots of bolter in the face.
  • All powerful weapons like Bolters and Plasma guns will be anemic as lasguns
  • Zero cool psyker powers and those who will be in the game will be 4e tier bad powers
  • They will reduce good to equality cultism
  • Leveling up will be a shore and not fun and rewarding.
  • The last 1/3 of the game will be borderline unplayeble mess till two years after the second DLC release
  • Lots and lots of gay romance.

black women represent the biggest demographic for niche isometric party-based RPGs which is why they feature in every video game

It's interesting how little focus the cover has on waifubait characters, unlike RT which has a sister of battle front and center, the elf, and the fish. I suspect this game won't do nearly as well :scratch-pipe:

I noticed that as well which is a bit surprising.
