This is a topic for all things Planescape related.
My Planescape journey began with wanting to learn more about Forgotten Realms and then finding wikis with role-related information. I was fascinated with different planes and more in-depths mechanics of how these worlds actually work. That then led to mimir.net (hate that new design but fortunately I have old version saved) which is a neat fan site with a lot of interesting homebrew materials that expand the original lore. Then I traversed some Web 1.0 fan sites from Planescape web ring via web archive. From that I got to official literature of AD&D2E. Playing Planescape: Torment and visiting Planescape server of NWN2 was also an awesome experience.
What was your experience with Planescape? Have you played modules or campaigns in this setting? Is anyone interested in Planescape materials (art, lore, books, scraped fan sites, etc)?

I was introduced to PS the same way many others were, probably: by playing Torment. I really liked the setting; it was innovative and exciting, something completely different from FR (and GH). Unfortunately, those were in my university days, so I never could afford both PS and FR material, and because my group was really into crpg games like BG and IWD, I decided to go for FR.
I have downloaded many PS books the last few years, though, I thought I'd give it a whirl in D&D 3.5 - but it has so far proved too much work. :old:
Maybe some beautiful, happy day... But it is not this day.

What was the hard part? I ran the first module from the Well of Worlds book in 5e and it was ok, just needed some additional preparations like finding versions of monsters from 5e and preparing encounters with 5e balance. Next adventures needed more work as I needed to introduce Sigil but my knowledge of the books and a lot of acquired fan materials helped a lot.

My knowledge of the timeline (in the sense such a thing exists in PS) and general lore of the setting is abysmal compared to FR/GH, and I haven't prioritized to get really into it. I don't want to mess up established lore because of ignorance.
Also, getting rid of/avoiding the 3.x unofficial (? I think so) stuff/Faction Wars, which I thought was canon for a time, but as far as I know/understand it now is just fanfiction of some sort...? I started reading the 3.x material and it didn't really appeal the way the 2e material did. And so I returned to GH instead.
I haven't tried 5e PS - is it "cleaned" the WotC way; i.e., language and terminology suited to the preferences of Carol Steve Nonbinary Rainbow?

Here's a good resource on the timeline: https://www.rilmani.org/timaresh/Timeline
Second edition takes place in Hashkar 127 and I played in it, following AD&D2 books.

I honestly haven't read it but I fear that might be the case. I just took basic rules out of 5e, everything else was from 2e, adapted if necessary. I didn't even like the premise of 5e book though - there are some time perturbations(?) and Planescape: Torment is now canonized. There are some merged factions and splintered factions and I guess not much has changed. Overall I think they went the fanservice route and decided to please old fans without changing the lore much.

@fkirenicus By the way, there's an NWN2 server of Planescape: https://www.nwn2planescape.com/about.php
I thought since NWN2 uses 3.5e it might be interesting to you. It's a nice server with a lot of content from original books and also from mimir.net which expands upon the base lore.
Some screenshots from there:

Yeah, saw some of it, looks generic and way too bright and colorful. Cities look more like Ravnica and the whole art style lacks the character of original Planescape art.

That's the issue with modern tabletop art, it's all so "samey" and generic.

I was looking at Tony DiTerlizzi's site the other day and it's a shame he murdered his own artstyle

Yes, really sad. I think he also made some art for the new Planescape book but it looks generic all the same.

There is a rather short book called "A player's guide to the Planes" with the description of main concepts and factions. For a more in-depth exploration I'd recommend "The Planewalker's Handbook".

I only respect neolithic cave paintings. Now that's REAL art.

Found a neat thing - recordings from the CD that was distributed with the book "Player's Primer to the Outlands":
