My main gripe with modern elves is that they have been way too "humanized" and made just as mundane as the average humie.

You see elves who are centuries or thousands of years old - and may even be epic mages capable of easily casting country-destroying spells for all anyone knows - walking around in random human settlements and nobody bats an eye.

And in fantasy anime it's even worse. A 300 years-old elf is basically just a 30 years-old human with pointy ears.

I have considered the idea of making elves great again - my MEGA movement - but my methods are unapologetically controversial. Like making elves so overwhelmingly superior to humans that they're not a viable option to pick for players, similar to how dragons are too overpowered to be playable.

They are indeed pretty much humans with knife ears, and the supposedly fact they live centuries if not millennia. Yet even in their behavior they act based on their feelings, like children, in media.

But if we are going to get Skyrim or ESO elves (latter is slightly better in their depiction), I'd rather just have the pointy ears. They look more like alien goblins than an actual mysterious, wise and old race.

In fact, we don't even have a single example of female elves being confused for male elves while First Age/Heroic men are frequently confused with male elves.
