Ah, crap, I was trying to troubleshoot the bug I had and couldn't unpack some of yall files. I guess now I know why lol. How DO I unpack them though?
You don't  . Well you could, if you are tech savvy enough i guess. WHat's the bug? I know of quite a few that I'm ironing out right now. See the support page. One is Viconia crashing when she gets her shield out because Larian broke modded virtual Textures for shields. I've just fixed that for next update.
It was the one that we have already looked into - why PlusUI is not working properly.
I dunno what goes for tech savvy these days, I am an SWE, know my way around linux machines, and did plenty of skyrim modding, but IT is a very wide field so it's a hard maybe? :D Depends on how hard I'll want to figure it out.

Most of the swap changes happened just because Baldur's Gate is a mostly human city. Simple as.
I had no specific anti-midget agenda going on per se, aside from them just feeling really out of place when nearly half the NPCs in BG's "mostly human" city are, well, not humans.

As @Demonic Fate mentioned, literally anyone with some level of lore understanding will picture things differently. What stood out to me might seem completely normal to someone else and vice versa. There are still dwarves, gnomes, halflings and dragonborns in the city. And yes, there are still elves too β€” because even they were "humanised" to some extent. Some are merchants, some are common workers, some are middle-class, some are filler-NPCs and some are even nobles.

Those NPC swaps made sense β€” to Orin, to Lore and to me β€” THREE people who worked on the mod. We can't realistically expect to please everyone with all 1500 NPC changes, and that’s perfectly fine by me. I genuinely had fun making this mod. Even when I was stuck in test-monkey mode, catch-all-the-bugs-and-problems left and right kind of duty.

If people are enjoying playing the game with the mod, that’s absolutely banging. If not, that’s alright too.
:toot:
Honestly there's no point trying to please anyone after a certain point which yall have already achieved. As it has been already mentioned you can lore-nerd for hours and still get no consensus, especially considering that then we'd have to start getting into details such as "at which point do we cut off WotC additions to lore due to them getting pozzed?". It will not have an end.

Best case scenario IMO is to just have a nice and short tutorial on how to DIY those "revert X character" requests.
Next best case scenario is - figure out yourself.
It's already tremendous that we just have this mod.

Hurry up with the bugfixing. Told my sister and her husband that if they wanna play BG3, now is the time since you guys fixed it. After I told them what was changed, my sister even said "So basically how Larian should've released the game instead"

Is there any update on the heads situation? I am currently waiting in playing the game until the 4D vanilla MS head is back in the character creator.

I have now tried for two days, and yesterday especially since I wanted to get my mind to something else to play this game. I am constantly tapping out or go away to do something else that I managed to get to the druid grove after the game running for 9 hours.

WHY IS IT SO ******* BOOOOOOOOOOOORING, I really had hoped that the mods do something about it. Why is this game such a success? I don't get it.

The mod is good though.
Well, here's your ******* problem. Sit down and focus on one thing at a time and you'll actually make some progress and start having some fun.
Seriously, who the hell sits down to play the RPG with a mindset "oh, I'll just "watch" it like a slop TV show and get fun from doing it".
Sitting down and focus? What a monkey take.
Image

Maybe you should focus on the fact that the game is ****, the problem is not my inability to focus but on Baldurs gate 3s inability to capture my attention.

No joke, committing to finishing AG games so I can get these totally sick badges has made me enjoy games more. I'm more resistant to dropping games at the first opportunity I feel a little boredom. There's something to be said about conditioning yourself to finish something you started.

Well let me state that into comparison, Jagged Alliance 3, which came out the same year I played nonstop for 80 hours or so.

Yes they pretty much designed NPCs to be specific races and genders in Act 1. Then in Act 2 and 3 they made it more general and easily swappable... i wonder why :Inspector:

Sounds like something you'd design if you had quotas to meet

I have barely started playing with the mods, and It's the first time it happened to me and I found it very funny, so I just wanted to share it. In fact, I just created my account in order to do that.

Either way, good to know that it's known bug and that it may be fixed some day.

All your mods got disabled. Portrait change shows since it's an override.

Enable through ingame mod manager, close game, re-export load order in BG3MM, start through DX11

Glad you enjoyed it :)

I've already fixed it for next patch, because Trynn seems to be hard coded with her animation (as far as i know with my limited modding knowledge), i've excluded her from swaps.

I think Trynn uses a goblin animation because I remember from a stream where every character was turned into Halsin that all the goblins would shrink for their conversations.
