They're both incredibly overrated games, but which one moreso?

New Vegas, but only because it's newer and more people have played it. Both are aggressively mediocre games.

New Vegas definitely. I tried to replay it recently because I barely remembered it and didn't understand why it got so much praise. It's pretty meh.

VTMB can't be overrated because it's a 9/10 game. A little bugfixing and slightly more content would have made it a 10/10.

RPGs with bad combat have a soft-cap of 7/10.

I think I just voted New Vegas because Sawyer's been making tweets like these lately:

Just like Yves, I chase tales

Combat in VTMB isn't bad though. It's not anything special, but it's definitely not bad. Disciplines are fun to use, gunplay is standard, and melee is very low effort, but still serviceable.

VTMB has hot goth Malkavian girls.

New Vegas has that one town where the Legion is crucifying a bunch of dorks.

Tough call.

I refuse to believe you are on this website and have never heard of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Maybe you just forgot the acronym?

I was making a point, which was nobody knows what that game is.

How could it be overrated?

I like both, but FNV is definitely more overrated. At the end of the day, it's still just a better Fallout 3, and Fallout 3 is ***.

All I will say to Bloodlines lovers is to never even dare look at the intense retardation that is the TTRPG, especially today. If you thought modern D&D became a preachy pile of ****, oooh man.

It's best to limit VtM knowledge to just that game.

I disagree. The TTRPG may be... uneven to say the least, and certainly cringe and edgy at times, but it has plenty of genuinely good stuff, and plenty of cool nooks and crannies. What you say is only really true for gWoD and V5 (and its associated games, like W5 and H5), but despite their insistence otherwise, the new post-WW game(s) is/are fundamentally different settings from the Bloodlines universe.

One of the best things about Bloodlines is that it actually does a really good job at depicting some parts of V2/VR oWoD; and the V20 (etc.) edition(s) are mostly just collections of rules more than anything else. I am still mad we never got any H20 before everything went to hell.

Rudi is a Gangrel Anarch well-known for championing progressive causes.

Overview
A new player on the Kindred scene, Rudi commands an impressive following as an Anarch representative for the oppressed and repressed minorities in vampire society. Though his concerns extend to kine as well, his recent entry into Kindred existence has shown him that the fights mortals must undertake for equality are just as pressing for immortals.

Rudi’s nightly life hasn’t changed much since the Embrace. He still makes his haven in Copenhagen, still hangs with the same friends, and still attends the same clubs. He has only expanded his concerns; in addition to advocating for fellow mortal minorities, he now champions Gangrel kept out of havens and feeding grounds by sprawl, stands up for female Kindred in cities run by traditionally misogynistic elders, and encourages the adoption of progressive norms over tradition wherever possible. Some might think Rudi’s combination of practicing Islam and unabashed queerness contradictory, but few challenge the “Bear Gangrel” with this notion.

Fast becoming the animale du jour, Rudi wins fellow discontented Kindred over with his targeted approach against elitists and Camarilla hardliners. Some European Princes fear he will lead a crusade in years to come, in an attempt to level the establishment.

Yeah, it got.. bad. And that's without even going into the menstrual magic and the international incident over the chechnyan homo-holocaust.

I am making none of this up.

What a time to be alive.

Why are you putting this obviously true statement in quotation marks, like it's supposed to be ironic?
