it's a linear moviegame, 90% of people aren't going to do more than 1-2 sidequests
That always amazes me. Whenever I enter a game like KCD I just go around the world doing everything but the main quest.
That horrible wretched feeling after you've cleared the whole map of side content and the next main quest you do unlocks a new mission type sprinkled across the entire landscape

Spider-Man 2018 did this constantly, you would finish a mission and then it would force open the map to show you all the cool side content you can do now! They did it so many times that I just ignored the side content out of spite.

Is there a complete list of all the times someone gets covered in feces or has to dig thru feces? Seems like it happens a bit too much

KCD 1 has horrible matchup when it comes to matching your skills vs story timings. You can hit lvl 20 pretty early. And you can totally max out almost every skill before even going back to Skalitz, and definitely before going to the monastery in Sasau.

It's definitely not an RPG for everyone, but I enjoyed the hunting aspects. The polishing of bladed weapons. The horse riding, too. Sometimes getting the simple things right can get you pretty far.

Overall it's not a bad game.

(-2) Like books from George Martin, it would be better if simply 1/3 was cut. Especially early in the game.

(-1) Too much AAA trash was put in there that spoils the pace. It tries to be a AAA movie. None of the movie stuff is reactive.

But...if nothing else comes out this year...it may be one of the best games this year (quote this bit)...because at least the world is nice detailed enough.

Like with Cyberpunk or Horizon Forbidden West, the world map makes up for a lot. Like those games as well, sound and music is good. Half the team is really good. Half is...you know what is...it's like a barrel of honey with some **** in it.

(0) Gameplay (fighting...) is mediocre or poor...(1) Reactivity is very insufficient. (2) Some bits are rubbish or cursed. (3) Story is merely okay, doesn't motivate, although some moments are good. Overall too little choice there.

But hey, few other games have toilets in the tower that have a real hole. You can look down it...and you see a giant pile of poo...a hundred feet below...where a body is also laying...which completes the quest to find the missing scribe.

I'd do a full review, but too lazy to take screenshots! Anybody wanna donate screenshots?
I think after playing the first game, I just wasn't prepared to put up with a typical AAA type game . if KCD2 had been a new IP I might be been a bit less annoyed by it , it would have been just another woke tainted OK game

A lot of the charm from KCD1 is lost on this game. It's good overall, just not great. I do think that the smartest move that studio is doing is releasing mod tools early on. I don't know how deep the mod tools will be, but in today's world with AI, modders may just able to save the story. Then there's enough here to work with if you can modify the combat and other systems to make a well balanced game since WarHorse doesn't know what they're doing with regards to combat and economy.

Timestamped. I did give this game a chance. Decided I'd play until something gay and ******** happened. Didn't make it past the first hour - this scene was when I knew the entire game would be gay-coded poop from a butt :dice:

Also this. The most performative, faggy "I'M NOT GAY I LIKE WOMEN!!!" moment I've ever seen. Hans Capon was turned gay.

That actually feels more redditor-coded. Vergil definitely wouldn't say something like that.

And I guess the other times where he is with women is also "I AM NOT GAY! I have relationships with women and sex with men!"
I mean there is another scene where we are in a "castle" and one dude tells Hans to keep his grubby hands of the only female there.

Just reload a save then or do it once mainquest is finished after the sukdol siege.
