Yeah, that's because they've already hired SBI alumni - no need for consultants when you have "experts" at home.
If that is true, then this proves that the brainrot is so deep that consultancy firms are sometimes not required for the virus to infest further.

The consultancy firms were never required, they were hired because they were friends of the developers

Denying the specific while avoiding the general is the kind of answer you give when you're avoiding the main thrust of the accusation. Nobody cares if you're adding DEI content because of Sweet Baby Inc. They care that you're implementing the niggerfaggot agenda regardless of its origin.

I can go on a hour long rant on CP2077 narrative issues by itself, especially the Phantom Liberty expansion that actually makes the overall story worse at certain points.
I extremely conflicted with Cyberpunk 2077 .It’s a deeply flawed game half finished and woefully mediocre at multiple levels in its game design , not to mention ameture levels into In the writing several instances in its narrative. However it’s equally exceptional great in many key points ( Johnny conversation at the oil field comes to mind ) .I have to give major props to small details in story consequences in side quests/gigs. Mind you a lot of the major choices have no impact but it’s noticeable enough that those who pay attention will get a lot of of enjoyment in seeing how much changes can happen. However a lot of the side quests end prematurely or extremely short to the point just picking up a gun is the start and end of a quest.
Ingame cutscenes are really great with the well crafted cinematography of those scenes truly stellar. (when it works ) seeing characters fidgeting and slight movements with there body that conveys so much of character without a uttering a single word truly adds to the immersion that rivals Rockstars in the amount of detail put in. It was disappointing how CDPR is dropping the Red engine for Unreal because of accessibility reasons however more then likely because the new hires are incompetent and can’t handle such complicated in house tech.
Soundtracks is really all over the place with a lot of the licensed music being godfucking awful that sounds like the worst hip-hop music I ever heard. If the attempt was to mimic the music industry being inspired and generic at best then mission accomplished. Luckily there is quite few tracks that saves the OST one of which is rebel path and V’s theme that never get old listening , it was nice touch that rebel path was used for one of the endings that was a perfect cap stone to Johnny and V’s relationship over the course of the game.
Played the game twice with a female and male V and there is a significant dialogue changes shockingly in side quest , main missions and even npc idle/ combat chater changes depending on your gender. Honestly this should be the gold standard for RPG’s in how people react to your gender as opposed to most games where there’s little changes other than he/she pronouns and a few differences in romantic relationships at best.
Another thing I like is how much much narrative context the game gives for simple fech quest/ go to location and kill certain characters. It would been very easy for CDPR to just copy paste simple boilerplate side quests in a open world game of go here and clear outpost but they went the extra mile to make whole context scenes for the vast majority of missions that’s doesn’t make them boring playing through . I haven’t seen games put this much effort in making simple quest interesting since The Secret World.
The personal story about dealing of one’s morality when trying to achieve one’s ambition is rarely tacked in AAA game as it central theme.
It’s does a good job handling this topic with surprising well in both the main story and side quest /long quests chains. However after Act 1 the quality drop off a cliff and you clearly see that content was cut, plot threads that go nowhere, and characters that were supposed to get more screen time gets the short end of the stick. It’s rather unfortunate how the story just falls apart in the seems
Some of these features have been added in the subsequent patches but the vast majority never made it in the final release . The goals they said from beginning and the “finished”product are two different games.
► Show Spoiler
Unfortunately many of the choices amount to **** all .I see more impactful decisions in a Telltale game than any of the so called “choice and consequences” in CP2077. It only get worse in the endings which the one word to describe would be contrived.
They made every ending be **** and dying (although Don't Fear The Reaper ending was slightly satisfying… slightly) no matter what you do even though have many resources and character being able to fix the problem quite easy Arasaka ( Devil ending) and Alt Cunningham (Sun/ Star). But no, every ending is a bad ending but different shades of **** and just anticlimactic in the sun ending ( I really wanted to see the heist mission in the crystal palace). I know that that in the cyberpunk genre there isn’t going to be a happy endings but the ending here is just over does this for the sake of it.
But oh boy the PL expansion ******* tops the regular **** endings by far and goes full on grim dark. It’s like the CDPR look at the criticisms of how needlessly bleak the endings for the main game were and said “ oh you want v to live, ok he live all right….””Now in the new ending you get a surgery that fixes the relic problem but it’s been two year since you were In a comma and results in most your friends either hate because you didn’t contact ( why no one had the brain cells to contact them is beyond me) them or meet terrible ends. But wait there’s more ,you can’t use any cyberware permanently because of the surgery and get mug by some petty criminals going back to NC. You get some speech in the end from misty that sure life sucks for you , no money , no friends, no means to defend yourself or any future prospects in any meaningful jobs and being a nobody but hey at least your alive and can have a fresh start.
**** you CDPR.
Overall CP77 is the most disappointing game I played in living memory since Fallout 4 and Mass Effect 3. There was a lot of potential that was utterly missed and now with most of the original team of CP77 and Witcher 3 are gone I have zero hope for the CP77 sequel.

Nobody cares about the behind the scenes for a trailer. This is damage control.
CDPR stock doubled over the year, and seems to be headed for a 1-1 recreation of its price dynamic during Cyberpunk's release. Can't wait to short
Ciri's portions of the books are the worst parts of them. She's a boring character who is surrounded by characters who deserved to be the focus rather than her. Bonhart, for example.
Ciri's portions of Witcher 3 are just bad. Seriously just a slog to get through. I don't see how she can carry an entire game.

This face fixing combined with the recent Disney's Snow Brown "apology" shows how the dying animal finally realizes that its dying, and its hoping that we - the ones who slayed the animal in self-defense - feel sorry about it, hoping to farm our empathy and that we forget the fact that it wanted to kill us first.
CDPR trailers have sunk in quality, compare this to Witcher 2's and you can take a peek at how much CDPR declined.
As a plot device, I quite like Ciri, but yeah, that's about it. Geralt's encounters were always the best parts and now he's out of the picture. What can Ciri possibly bring to the table, especially when it's clear they just want her to mimic Geralt with none of the masculine stoicism he displayed.pillbox wrote: ↑ February 27th, 2025, 16:52Ciri's portions of the books are the worst parts of them. The face is better, but we all know that the feminist rewrite is heavily underway. I'm so ******* tired of women in media and their boring, vapid, drivel they call narrative and character writing.
I'd just like for normies to see the deception at least once, but that's just too much to ask apparently.UltraFan123 wrote: ↑ February 27th, 2025, 17:48This face fixing combined with the recent Disney's Snow Brown "apology" shows how the dying animal finally realizes that its dying, and its hoping that we - the ones who slayed the animal in self-defense - feel sorry about it, hoping to farm our empathy and that we forget the fact that it wanted to kill us first.
Changing a face does nothing if the message behind is still "tAcKliNg SeXisM in the MidDlE ages!!1!" (As if men weren't given any choice but go die in wars at the time, but that's conveniently left out as usual).
I expect a KCD2 situation all over again. And I fear it will become standard practice and normies will gobble it up.

Well to be fair, KCD2 had 2 things in its favor that this upcoming Witcher doesn't have;Cloharp7 wrote: ↑ February 27th, 2025, 19:12I expect a KCD2 situation all over again. And I fear it will become standard practice and normies will gobble it up.
First, the main character that players grew attached to in the previous game was still the same main character in the sequel.
And second, the woke infestation was purposely hidden before launch and we only learned about it through pre-release leaks.
In contrast, Witcher 4 has the wahmah replacement and woke plot at the front and center, so I would bet that it will be a flop. Perhaps not as big a flop as Concord or Veilguard, but a flop nonetheless.
Oh yeah, and I would also bet that this new Witcher cost a lot more money to make than KCD2 did, so even if it sells roughly the same it may still be a failure.
Same people under another name, tho.
I doubt it will. Mouthbreathers will buy it regardless because it has CDPR and Witcher on the box.
From the trailer it looks like they dialed back on making Ciri ugly, so there's going to be even less of an incentive for normies to "miss out".
This Ciri being a witcher thing being actually ok is peak subversion. Normies will just think; hey, she was already trained like a witcher and has uber-magical powers, so it makes total sense, and even if not, who cares (also she's hot, mommy step on me blabla).
If everything else was not "progressivized" and the only thing in that direction was her being one, I'd still not play it. This crap is basically the same thing as female Space Marines.
Don't want to play as woman (Witcher),
don't 'ate Ciri,
just don' want it.
Simple as.

It also sucks that from that Demo, world/environment and architecture as well as character designs look amazing, just as in previous titles.
Alas, it is all tainted because of the garbage gay-race-communist infection. See there being dwarf armed guards in a human town, and other non humans living there in a way that reeks of that "inclusive" feel. Not to mention how ******* cringe and sassy stronk woman Ciri's dialogue is. But hey, at least there's no ******* (yet).
I hate modernity...

They took a relatively tolerable female character (debateable) and made her into a generic American girlboss. Can't even stand to watch it. Doesn't matter how good you make the horse look, if the characters and story are insufferable.

Will it sell yes. Will it reach the sales numbers as W3 is open ended question. I’m honestly bit surprised that CDPR is gambling putting CIri as the lead instead what many people thought the MC would be a custom character ( which people would overwhelmingly choose male)gerey wrote: ↑ June 3rd, 2025, 14:23I doubt it will. Despite all the negativity on this site about the video game industry, mostly aimed at derivative AAA garbage, you’re still keeping up with the news and will probably play this on launch day, only to complain about the same issues we always rant about. So why bother?
The industry has profoundly changed direction since the seventh gen days. If your interest doesn’t lie in passionate indie projects, keeping up with it now just feels like a waste of time.
