Play BLACK GEYSER instead of this **** if you really must play a BG game.
Exploration-wise this is really getting pretty close to BG1. Wouldn't mind a second one at all.

Am I blind or did they really not add information to the character creation/level up UI about what your choices will lead to at higher levels?

Popular (hq) opinion: they should have added an option to make the narrator a man.

Think Tactician might be overtuned, at the lower levels anyways. Enemies feel pretty bloaty with it on.
Yea I had this fear as well.. especially at lower levels.
Unfortunately Balanced difficulty is undertuned. It feels like I'm getting bonus rolls on hit compared to EA.. that or they made the game easier..

I don't remember getting 95% to hit on these early enemies.

The new narrator sucks.. I miss the old one from D:OS.

Where's the "Gather your party before venturing forward" guy? is he still alive?

Those 3d portraits suck. Sure hand drawn might not be 100% accurate, but they have way more character.

Bro if you make a twink drow and intentionally start sucking off every guy you see, you don't get to complain about it being gay.

I impaled that milo vampire on site.. we-wuz-warlocks likely gonna die soon too by inhaling too many poison barrels.

Gale is kinda growing on me.. he reminds me of Volo from NWN2 - although when he tries to get super broody and serious it gets a little cringe.

Patch #1 out
https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/11870150/
Fixed hair physics on drow and elf male strong body types.
Do they mean body type 1 or body type 2?

Wasn't expecting this to be possible, but if you have a high STR character you can spend your bonus action to jump, including on flat terrain. It costs 10 feet of movement, but you can cover more ground. Essentially converting the bonus action into 3-5 squares of movement. I was also able to jump 25 feet vertically, lol.

Not yet.. but I think (hope) disabled appearance changing is a flag in the character creator.

"Today, it has already broken a new peak record with 532K players according to SteamDB, and it's worth noting Baldur's Gate 3 is also available on GOG.com (where it is DRM-free), whose figures are obviously not counted here. This already ranks Baldur's Gate 3 as the #11th game in Steam's all-time concurrent player peak chart,"
Other contenders are far lower in the category. Obsidian's Pillars of Eternity stopped at 41.9K, and inXile's Wasteland 3 peaked at 24.5K, just above Shadowrun Returns from Harebrained Schemes (24.3K). Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire barely tops Owlcat Games' Pathfinder: Kingmaker (22.7K vs. 22.6K),

The funnier part is that the number of people *actually* playing it is probably 3x as large, since so many people have decided to... erm... sail the seas.

By the way, the Urchin background is pretty great. Although, the quests and inspirations aren't exactly kid-friendly. The game is clearly made for adults. But you can make decisions that improve kids' lives, and that's pretty wholesome.

This is one of the few games I've ever experienced where a Monk is given proper due in terms of combat. I actually went "HA!" out loud.
