just saying that they at least have enough self-awareness to acknowledge they lack the ability to make anything better.

This is more a hindsight move on their part. It is an emotional safety net for when their product fails. Like doing a shrug and saying, "nobody is perfect" when their sales tank. I don't know of any other business that does this. Imagine even submitting a resume to any other job and promoting yourself as someone who does the bare minimum and taking pride in that. Ridiculous. This industry deserves to crash.

Ultimately, MicroSoft is the one footing the bill, and if they're willing to pay people to **** out slop (that doesn't sell), who are we to blame them? It's not like we're losing anything in the process, nobody working on Obsidian has the talent or passion to make anything better, so everyone benefits from them staying there and spinning the proverbial wheel.

Everyone wins - MS loses money, the leftard employees are kept busy, and we get to laugh at their incompetence.

Microsoft will only fund so many studios because they only have the mental bandwidth to manage so many.

I noticed the Avowed director said the exact same thing Kim Belair said about making a product. Namely that their goal was not to produce something great, but something mediocre. For Kim Belair, she stated that she doesn't care about the quality of a product as long as she had a team of people she enjoyed working with. Carrie Patel basically said that mediocrity is the goal and is now patting herself on the back because that goal was met.

Imagine taking pride in putting forth bare minimum effort. This trash deserves to be pirated at best and discarded at worst The creators are all but admitting they're producing drive-thru slop.

I think you have cause and effect and intent in the wrong order.
Yes, they do want to radicalize the youth.
Yes, they do want to get paid, but have commie issues with worrying about business profits.
They would love to make a "hit" but will not because they cannot because the things they wish to put in a game are antithetical to it unless hidden.

Ultimately, they're just selfish. They want to make what they like and be paid for it without any requirements and never have any pushback on their "vision".

True, that is indeed their goal, but it will not really matter anything if nobody bothers to buy the slop they make, and if no young person buys it, then nobody will get to become a new anti-White racist.
