Here's a feature that made me drop a game:

This insufferable padding where they slowed this guy down to a crawl just to make this level last longer. This is actually one of several times this happened, but it was the most egregious and really tested my patience. FF7 remake had many features that were only there to waste more of your time. That and the game was completely on rails down to the available items, exp, random encounters, etc.

How did you make it to the last level if you dropped it.

This is far from being the last level. I admit I kept going longer than I found enjoyable.

Poor outfits/ customization or bad aesthetics in general. If a game isn’t beautiful or the characters look stupid or worse than the villains/side chars i won’t play it.

I cannot stand the games with a lengthy intro consisting of a FMV of footage of various gameplay features and locations and a narrator explaining what is in the game and how much you're going to enjoy it. They completely waste the players time with the only end result being that the sense of discovery when playing the game is diminished. I recall this ******** starting to become really obtrusive around the time of Burnout Paradise and it only got worse from there.

Any game without melee combat. Especially the ones that purport to be about tactics and then restrict options to guns only.

You should also read The Once And Future King. I really like the way T.H. White subverted Authurian legend with his progressive, homosexual politics and made it the de facto standard for every bit of Arthurian media that came after!
I dropped it on the first book because of the annoying writing style.

-Over represented minority sexual fetishes (gay stuff)
-Over represented black ppl in a setting they do not even belong (e.: Medieval European themed games/movies)
-Furries (disgusting zoophiles in my opinion)
-Genderbending character options
-Pronouns

Excessive 4th wall breaking or self awareness especially when the game expects you to be immersed in the story, characters, setting, etc. If a game can't even take itself seriously, why should it expect the player to do so.

Indie games are notoriously bad about this millennial meta humor.

Comedy.
I've played maybe two or three games with comedic writing that weren't awful.

Undertale was cancer primarily for that reason. It's nothing but a huge reference to something else. It has no gravity of its own.

Redundant RPG mechanics that only exist to fry players' dopamine receptors, tells me that the designers aren't interested in adding fun gameplay so they resort to using this overused shortcut.

Most Valve games have clever comedic writing for the most part, Portal 2 is the exception with the overused "potato" joke and every other dialogue line being *some* sort of joke.
Portal 1, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 for the most part nail comedy well.

Portal 2 still got quite a few laughs out of me. The timing on the fat jokes was generally very good and the section where Glados takes the **** out of Wheatley for copying them (and is a complete hypocrite about it) is gold. Also, sociopath Cave Johnson.

The only problem I have with the game is that it takes longer to get going.
My review(s):
Wuthering Waves [Recommended]
Forever Skies [Not Recommended]

My only issue was the frequency of it all, you could have the most clever jokes of all time but the constant barrage of jokes will tire someone out at some point or another. The jokes themselves were delivered perfectly, and were in-character more often than not, but I'll stand by the "potato" joke being extremely forced.

Dungeons of Naheulbeuk was fairly well written comedy.

Forced temporal anti-aliasing to hide performance problems by rendering at lower than native resolution.

Recent game tried to hide this by rendering the UI text at full native resolution on top of the smeared twinkling garbage.

1. Can't be modded. Very rarely will I play a non-moddable game.
2. Ugly characters that can't be modded out. Why 1 is so important usually if it's a western game.
3. Furries (excluding cats which aren't furries  )
4. The Gay™ being forced on the player. Which is either unwanted "flirting" or a bloody The Gay™ cutscene right in the player's face. (AHEM BG3!! )
5. Writing/Dialogue so crap I want to throw my own monitor off the balcony. Also why modding is important otherwise I'd have lost monitors over Oblivion/Skyrim/FO4.

Over intrusive HUD. Assassin's Creed giving you a controller in the top right corner being most egregious.

It can really ruin the immersion and makes the game look like ****.

Right, I turned that all off. But same games you can't and Assassin's Creed was the first example that came to mind.
