I wouldn't hold my breath, the people love the slop. Remember how everyone played the gay bear sex game?Xenich wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 13:59Not that it would make me play it, but if they treated homosexuality like stealing (in terms of being caught and then word getting around making the player an outlaw where if caught, they were executed), then at least it would be somewhat realistic. This though is just a means for **** to play out fantasies about corrupting straight Christians. The whole game is an absolute insult, much worse than games like DA:V or the like.Cedric wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 11:48Embarrassing and gay. Only way to save it is if this leads to them being beheaded righteously.
Anyone who plays this is absolutely a **** *** and has no self respect regardless if they ever "do the gay". Playing the game is an admission of being such and that is why I think they did it.

Yes, but Baldur's Gate 3 was far more accessible, a D&D game, had Baldur's Gate in the title, being made by an established and fairly popular cRPG developer, and Larian actually managed to successfully rugpull the audience.
KCD2 has almost none of these advantages. Now also add a buggy launch on top of that.
Mind you, I'm not confident enough to claim it won't be successful, but it's going to be an uphill battle for Warhorse.

Nobody but 42 year olds cared about Baldur's Gate or cRPGs when BG3 came out.gerey wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 15:51Yes, but Baldur's Gate 3 was far more accessible, a D&D game, had Baldur's Gate in the title, being made by an established and fairly popular cRPG developer

Not to mention that KCD2 is a more niche title and genre than Baldur's Gate 3. Fantasy is more popular than a historical type game especially with women and gays. If they think fujoshits and ******* will be lining up in droves to play this game like with Baldur's Gate 3 they are sorely mistaken. What a utter PR disaster that could have been avoided if Vavra learned to read the ******* room.gerey wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 15:51Yes, but Baldur's Gate 3 was far more accessible, a D&D game, had Baldur's Gate in the title, being made by an established and fairly popular cRPG developer, and Larian actually managed to successfully rugpull the audience.

You are forgetting that D&D got popular (and ruined) thanks to Critical Role who got a lot of women and LGBTQ people interested in the game. Baldur's Gate 3 was much anticipated by women, the LGBTQ and the theater kids thanks to Critical Role. KCD2 doesn't have that. Instead what they had was good word of mouth due to Vavra's stance during GamerGate and how loved the first game was which Vavra utterly ruined.Vergil wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 15:53Nobody but 42 year olds cared about Baldur's Gate or cRPGs when BG3 came out.gerey wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 15:51Yes, but Baldur's Gate 3 was far more accessible, a D&D game, had Baldur's Gate in the title, being made by an established and fairly popular cRPG developer

Still turned out to be much more successful than Viagra could ever imagine. I recall BG3 discussions on a local "gaming" forum from my place where they tend to only play mobile and MMO slops.Vergil wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 15:53Nobody but 42 year olds cared about Baldur's Gate or cRPGs when BG3 came out.gerey wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 15:51Yes, but Baldur's Gate 3 was far more accessible, a D&D game, had Baldur's Gate in the title, being made by an established and fairly popular cRPG developer
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

If they wanted a "based Muslim scholar" they should have had Ibn Khaldun in the game. However, he may have been a little too spicy for their liking.MrKike wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 16:21The ****** one is even worseTKVNC wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 16:04Historical RPG btwRoguey wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 16:02

BAHAHAAHA Look AT HIS FACE - LOOK AT THE LIPS.. he's all smug and Sheeeit. It looks so weirdly out of theme against all the other medieval art. Like it was done by a completely different artist.
This is LITERALLY Vavra's picture of the black guy in a basketball jersey in medieval times.. He became the thing he mocked.

This is way worse than anything in BG3. For real. The choreography of this scene is the faggiest **** ever put into a video game.

**** were legally protected by the Holy Roman Emperor. While this protection eroded over time, it was still somewhat effective as late as the 1500s, well after the timeline of this game. Riots against **** were peasant uprisings that were legally treason. While noblemen might decide not to try very hard intervene depending on their personal sympathies, they had a formal legal responsibility to stop them and certainly could not have openly participated, at least without permission of the Emperor.Rand wrote: β February 4th, 2025, 15:37Henry and Hans would be helping burn out the **** and considering it an act of purifying Christendom form evil foreigners, just like the Cumans.

Wow they really did **** the whole brotherhood aspect of the first game. Quite literally
Is that a ******?
