I really like how now we're basically the "Schrödinger's Chud";
We're so few and weak that nobody should ever pay attention to us nor listen to our demands.
Yet at the exact same time, we're so numerous and powerful that we singlehandedly decide which games are successful and which ones aren't. ![]()
For me its got to be the obscure ESL translation from IGN espania. "BioWare manages to recover in Dragon Age: The Veilguard the good tone of his youth with a proposal that convinces by the good work of the team"rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ January 30th, 2025, 21:50everyone find their favorite 9/10 or 10/10 review

Am I seeing this correctly? The price for a pre-owned copy is negative $1.80? Wow, people will literally pay money not to play this trash anymore.
****, the comparison is so ******* depressing. Poor, poor Mass Effect. They're going to kill that too, won't they? They'll infest and stuff it with ****** and insufferable power lesbians until the game comes apart at the seams.
And the brave franchise held out for so long too. I can't believe that it took until Andromeda for the ****** propaganda to make an appearance.
Sigh. Why aren't we allowed to have nice things anymore?
Edit: Also, hooray for the ******-in-training Weekes getting fired. My day just got brighter!
I mean...
She's not wrong though...

I remember watching some walkthroughs of Veilguard and I swear to good the writing felt like something that you would see with BookTok. If you want to know why the quality of writing and storytelling has become so **** in the West look no further then BookTok. The ***** elf and Traash in Veilguard felt like characters you would see in BookTok books. For those that are fortune enough to not know BookTok books are just for women to coom to. That is it. Bioware and EA thought it would be a brilliant idea to pander to these women. To be fair Larian are also making the stupid decision to pander to these women too and they are going to learn the hard way on why you shouldn't.

Yes, I've had the misfortune of experiencing the cesspool that is BookTok. All the stories there have romance/sex in some form and are so bad they make Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey look like Shakespear. The worst stories I saw involved stuff like Omegaverse (Male werewolves that can somehow get pregnant by other male werewolves), Dark Fantasies about Kidnappers/Murderers (Pretty self explanatory), and shameless sex novels of seducing Billionaires (Because Millionaires apparently aren't enough for these gold diggers anymore). Any women who does Booktok is an automatic no for me.

Shakespeare is terrible himself.
How bad must they be?
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.
Yes, I'm well aware. Trust me, it's better if you don't experience it yourself. Don't let morbid curiosity get the best of you...Rand wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2025, 07:17Oh my god.MC_Sea wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2025, 06:52All the stories there have romance/sex in some form and are so bad they make Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey look like Shakespeare.

This Asian guy goes over some of the horrors of BookTok. I'll like to point out that the stuff he goes over is the "tame" stuff. Yeah, it is way worse than this. To think people wonder why the evil ending for Astarion where he makes the player into his vampire spawn sex slave is the most popular ending that women go for.

I was fortunate enough to not know what that meant, but not anymore. Thank you.RangerBoo wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2025, 02:57For those that are fortune enough to not know BookTok books are just for women to coom to.
That being said, I was already aware of the degeneracy of the average female coomer. Women love insulting "incels" for wanting hot female characters in games, calling them creepy and porn addicted, but when you show them all the thousands of books aimed at women that feature sex with monsters, animals, dinosaurs, rapists or extreme content like physical abuse and gang rapes, all under the umbrella of "romance", the silence is deafening.
The male fantasy is being a knight in shining armor and rescuing damsels, so you can marry them and start a family. The female fantasy is being in a relationship with your rapist.

This sums up female fiction and the female fantasy perfectly. I will be using this quote in the future for my psychology papers. Mind you, it's not that I think all women have these fantasies, but the mainstream popularity of bodice rippers and other adjacent smut certainly dwarfs the prevalence of equally extreme material in the "manosphere".RangerBoo wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2025, 10:49This sums up female fiction and the female fantasy perfectly. I don't think anyone has actually done a proper study on the subject, but it certainly seems to me that women are far more welcoming of extreme content than men tend to be, so long as it is pandering to them specifically.
And even this wouldn't be an issue if these same women would just stay in their gooncave and leave others be, but instead they constantly invade male spaces to call men creepy, perverted, porn addicts and demand female characters be made ugly despite the fact they, themselves, when making a female character, choose to make her attractive.
I also noticed women have some sort of obsession with both infantilizing everything and calling men "childish" or other such monikers as if to belittle them or because they have some strange "mom complex", where they like to heal and care but also be the cause for their patient/"child"/sweetheart's misery, is there really no study on any of this?gerey wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2025, 10:56Mind you, it's not that I think all women have these fantasies, but the mainstream popularity of bodice rippers and other adjacent smut certainly dwarfs the prevalence of equally extreme material in the "manosphere".RangerBoo wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2025, 10:49This sums up female fiction and the female fantasy perfectly. Thank you for existing!
he's right though. an official announcement declaring "hey guys we are listening to you. *******, ******, ****** in training and foids are gone. we promise that Mass Effect 5 is gonna have Shepard as the MC, Destroy was the best option and Indoctrination theory will become canon. also, DA Failguard is a parallel universe story, dragon age will return with a proper Dreadwolf game." would restore some faith and propel stocks.

Good news everyone! Corrine Busche was able to find a new job. Where does he work now you ask? Why at Wizards of the Coast because of ******* course Wizards would be the company stupid enough to hire him after the bomb that was Veilguard. Hell, Wizards probably looked at Veilguard and said; "That is more of what we want for D&D!"
"Every communist is really a capitalist without any cash in his pockets." ~ Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
And viva la eternal private DnD game that belongs to everyone and does not need any corporation to thrive!
My only regret is that if before you could not admit you were a DnD player it was because you were labelled "nerd", now you are labelled "woke" for the very same reason.
Don't diss on the *****, he's going to do to D&D what he did to Dragon Age. He's doing God's work.RangerBoo wrote: ↑ February 3rd, 2025, 11:30Why at Wizards of the Coast because of ******* course Wizards would be the company stupid enough to hire him after the bomb that was Veilguard

All I've learned from the past ~year is that the average gamer has no idea what success for a video game looks like.

From what I have seen regarding discussions about the guy, it appears that his selling point is how he's "unapologetically filthy" with his image being that of The Roach King.Vergil wrote: ↑ February 5th, 2025, 19:20What compels a person to click on a thumbnail that looks like this.
Asmongold markets himself as someone to whom the never-bathing gooners can easily relate to, which explains his popularity if you ask me.
