Must have been something highly specific in that Blackrock slide presentation 3 years ago about female-led videogames and putting a random number in the title.
33 isn't a random number, it's an occult reference. @Thor Kaufman can you explain it to him?

Image

This game, with these ugly broads and occultist stuff, is basically a crime against God.

yep **** and their ****** minds love numbers, gematria and all that.
A common explanation is that Jesus died at the age of 33 and the ***** obviously hate no one more than Jesus. Even Hitler is only #2. :turtle:

That's why you see 33 so often in the fake media or coded in other ways. CC=33 for example, because it's the third letter of the alphabet. Climate Change, Christ Consciousness. All kinds of nonsense.

It's also part of Universal Law, the law that Kabbalists have to reveal their plans to the goyim because in their worldview they will face no karmic repercussions for their evil deeds if they show them "openly". Even though most times it is coded esoterically while the goyim only ever get to know the exoteric meanings.
Basically, they think or justify it this way, if they tell the goyim their plans and the goyim don't fight back they have it coming and deserve it. Doesn't that sound familiar? Yep, that's libertarianism at its finest. I mean, Luciferian. Same difference, obviously.

Ephesians 6:12 KJV. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Also, not sure if this counts as a JRPG. "JRPG combat" is just DRPG combat. :scratch-pipe:

@WhiteShark Any weebsight?
Let it be known that @WhiteShark has stayed silent upon this issue and therefore forfeited his weebsight, and the thread shall be moved to the RPG subforum.

Yeah, well, Disco Elysium says RPG and its thread is in the theater section.

And to be clear, the developer chosen genre is just RPG, not JRPG. JRPG is the user-picked tags.

It's got turn-based combat like what you see in Dragon Quest and a scaled-down overworld like in older Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest titles.
Them's the more JRPG elements I remember seeing. :Inspector:

Basically everything you see in old JRPGs except for the anime aesthetic was taken from Ultima/Wizardry

The game is essentially Persona 5 without an anime aesthetic and a (seemingly) more serious storyline.

Intriguing setting but yeah, what actual dialogue we've seen so far has not been inspiring... :turtle: Not a fan of an overworld in 2025 either, but that's less egregious than quirky, vacuous dialogue... that I hope I'm wrong about.

Yeah, haven't seen anything that amazes me either but that is about what I would expect from a story driven game. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

"Meet Maelle (voiced by Jennifer English), the youngest member of the Expedition. A shy loner, eager to fly. Orphaned at age 3, Maelle has never felt at home in Lumière. She has difficulty connecting with and trusting others, but has come to appreciate her foster brother Gustave. At 16 years of age, Maelle is significantly younger than her fellow Expeditioners. Unlike them, she views the Expedition as her chance to explore the world beyond Lumière and finally forge her own destiny."

Am I the only one that thinks this game looks woke as ****?

Women protagonists are cringe and the male that accompanies them looks like a soyboy.

Can’t blame you. Games that focus on story are usually ****.
That's sad, I grew up on games where the story usually drove the game, but I can't disagree with what I've seen as far as modern games lately.

When almost more then half of games developers are woman even more so in the writing department the results became very predictable.

Modern right wingers aka centrists are really pathetic, they saw 1 attractive woman in a game trailer and immediately started shilling the game for free.
Same thing happened with Stellar Blade.
