And they kept at it through the 90s and 00s.

If Bethesda removed the option to play as a woman from TES or Fallout, people would riot.
some ****** and ******-to-be would throw a fit, nobody would actually care
It was fun to slut through Fallout 2 with max charisma, tbh.
And I had fishmalk chick in VTMB because dat cop outfit, come on.

Only estimate I know of for how extensive their subsidies are is Ubisoft received $1.1bn CAD between 2005 and 2019 from the Canadian government, presumably most of this coming in the later years.
https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2019/11/28/ ... eficitaire
Between 2013 and 2017, Ubisoft recorded net profits of 634 million $ while receiving 615 million $ in grants, can be read in its financial statements.
Canada having its government subsidized finger in every video game pie is really underrated in terms of libtard impact on games. Basically every multi-studio developer or publisher has at least one studio in Canada

It auto switches to 3rd person view on melee. And brawl+melee are OP, guns aren't even close.

The last Canadian Bioware studio is in Edmonton, and it's clearly in the process of being shut down.
Which is actually doing any employees a favor, because now they won't have to live in that mistake of a city.
(Imagine the opposite of Phoenix, Arizona. Cold AF, and with insect hordes from March to September. Also crime-ridden, though.)

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

I actually did. It's a chore, yeah. One of the reasons I niggered the kindred out to her in adventurers' guild here.
Though IIRC, flamer is pretty kewl even on guns 0 and Tremere roflstomp her.

Is playing as sexual female characters a gateway drug to wanting to be a woman? :scratch-pipe:

Had to stop at 1:40, any chance Trump just round up all writers and hang them? Honestly would trade them for a few mexicans.

Yep, I know how you feel. Except that in my opinion it is enough to fire them. :P
As I've said previously, DAV can maybe be a killer of a game if they fire Weekes and Busche (done) and totally remake it with sane writers.
Only requires a patch of about 100 GB or so. Like, the entire game. Patch arriving approx Oct 2035.

No straight person would even consider this though. In all the years I have played numerous games in third person, I never once looked at my character in a sexual manner or thought. They were simply a vehicle to perform my actions through.

Again, if you are staring at the *** of your character you have issues. Let me guess, you couldn't shower in the boys locker room because it made you feel "uncomfortable"? I wonder why that is? I think @rusty_shackleford kind of has a point.

Bioware is undergoing restructuring/layoffs, tries to phrase it in the most positive way https://blog.bioware.com/2025/01/29/bio ... io-update/
Now that Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been released, a core team at BioWare is developing the next Mass Effect game under the leadership of veterans from the original trilogy, including Mike Gamble, Preston Watamaniuk, Derek Watts, Parrish Ley, and others.

In keeping with our fierce commitment to innovating during the development and delivery of Mass Effect, we have challenged ourselves to think deeply about delivering the best experience to our fans. We are taking this opportunity between full development cycles to reimagine how we work at BioWare.

Given this stage of development, we don’t require support from the full studio. We have incredible talent here at BioWare, and so we have worked diligently over the past few months to match many of our colleagues with other teams at EA that had open roles that were a strong fit.

Today’s news will see BioWare become a more agile, focused studio that produces unforgettable RPGs. We appreciate your support as we build a new future for BioWare.
So long, Dragon Losers. Need to wait for ME to bomb for the studio to disappear for good unfortunately.

I'm curious how the last grasping breaths of this dying animal will be like.

Like Ubisoft is desperately trying to make their turd samurai not look like **** and failing miserably, so my assumption is that Bioware may also try to make the next and last ME look less **** somehow.
