Steve was one of the most annoying and forced characters in that series. I guess at least you had the option to never hear about it if you ignored him the entire game. You are however forced to hear that gay line about that lesbo Kelly replacement being attracted to Edi's voice.

woman's lot consists of two halves - Theresa's story, and Johanka's story. Johanka's one gets unlocked after you get access to Sasau, and it's very good. Probably the best questline in the entire game.
