The guy (Vávra) was a champion of the "chuds," as you put it. He fought hard against the woke crowd and was rewarded with 8 million sales. Despite your claim, those sales were due to his super-chud statements and were made by chuds, like Stellar Blade and Wukong. It was Vávra who said, "I checked every corner and every minute of this time period, there were no blacks there." It was Vávra who made Henry straight, excluding every hint of potential gayness. And it was Vávra who has now done a full 180.

In a game (especially a modern one), having one Black character and making the protagonist's orientation optional might work. But in this particular game - where the creator swore up and down to keep historical accuracy and avoid anything woke - it doesn’t fit. One Black character is one too many if you know they would not have been there, ever.

Vávra could have said upfront, "My company is owned by Embracer now, and they have a policy forcing me to include Black characters and make Henry optionally gay. It’s either that, or the game never gets released. But I promise to do everything in my creative power to include those elements as organically as the time period allows." Maybe that's exactly what happened. But he didn’t say it. Instead, he lashed out at the very people who supported him, blaming them for not accepting his work unquestioningly and using all the typical woke slogans.
