Resident Anti-feminist MRA, Race-mixer and no I'm not woke and not gay. Married with children, My writing style is shit, live with it or ignore me.
I had the game wishlisted but after the recent developments i will just observe the situation as it evolves. Certainly wont buy it if the rumours and concerns come true. Also the way Warhorse has handled the situation is questionable.

The only reason they responded was because sales were falling like a rock, right after previews were released which should have propelled it to the top seller.Brother Chad wrote: ↑ January 18th, 2025, 20:49They should fire their PR, honestly.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ January 18th, 2025, 19:06if musa polo wasn't in the game then they'd have said so, I don't know what more evidence people need

I'm not sure how they could have responded any better than they did, however. They made a game that pisses all over the people who made them successful & stood by them while they were widely attacked by the press, what did they expect?

Good PR don't have to go anywhere near lying to be good at their jobs, but my main point is just that KCD2 appears to be mired in the same incompetency that other major studios suffer from.
From the start of the leaks until today, every single thing they did was to make the situation worse. It's practically textbook on what not to do.
Stop hiring idiots who don't deserve the job. Just because you pay community managers almost nothing doesn't mean you should hire them straight off discord or something.

Musa Polo is definitely in the game — a magical Malian scholar-doctor-explorer that traveled all over the world and now works for a king. It's probably even worse than that, as I've seen a few new leaks.
Vavra seemed to inadvertently confirm there is "the homosexual scene", implying there will be an entire scene featuring two homosexuals getting it on in some form.
If I were Vavra right now the first thing I'd do is go delete that code of conduct on the Steam forums, tell the publisher to shove it if they complain. But it's obvious he was never actually serious about any of his convictions, ready to frame the people attacking him as nazis("There is no cause so right that one cannot find a fool following it."), and hide behind the Jew label as his shield.
Vavra has repeatedly ****** on the people that helped make his product successful and build up his brand, to hell with him.

That's one thing I would've never done right there. It's timing was horrendous, coupled with the actual TL;DR nature, etc, you're just stoking the flames.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ January 18th, 2025, 21:22If I were Vavra right now the first thing I'd do is go delete that code of conduct on the Steam forums, tell the publisher to shove it if they complain.
Taking it down now would also be questionable. A clear sign of spinelessness.
Why do developers never learn from other peoples' disasters? We've seen Veilguard and Avowed just last year, and that's just in RPG land, not to mention the even more high profile ones like Concord.

It prohibits things you actually encounter & engage in during the first game.

First they counted on the ignorance of their adversary; then, when there was no way out, they themselves pretended stupidity. If all this was of no avail, they refused to understand or they changed the subject when driven into a corner; they brought up truisms, but they immediately transferred their acceptance to quite different subjects, and, if attacked again, they gave way and pretended to know nothing exactly.
Wherever one attacked one of these prophets, one's hands seized slimy jelly; it slipped through one's fingers only to collect again in the next moment. If one smote one of them so thoroughly that, with the bystanders watching, he could but agree, and if one thus thought he had advanced at least one step, one was greatly astonished the following day. The Jew did not in the least remember the day before, he continued to talk in the same old strain as if nothing had happened, and if indignantly confronted, he pretended to be astonished and could not remember anything except that his assertions had already been proved true the day before.
Often I was stunned. One did not know what to admire more: their glibness of tongue or their skill in lying.
I gradually began to hate them.
Love how it can also be applied to most women I know XD Is there an adjective that sums up this description in one word? Aside from Jew or ****, that is.
It's an alternative translation of this passage toward the end of Chapter II of Mein Kampf, but the message is much the same:
"The more I debated with them the more familiar I became with their
argumentative tactics. At the outset they counted upon the stupidity of their
opponents, but when they got so entangled that they could not find a way out
they played the trick of acting as innocent simpletons. Should they fail, in spite
of their tricks of logic, they acted as if they could not understand the counter
arguments and bolted away to another field of discussion. They would lay down
truisms and platitudes; and, if you accepted these, then they were applied to
other problems and matters of an essentially different nature from the original
theme. If you faced them with this point they would escape again, and you could
not bring them to make any precise statement. Whenever one tried to get a firm
grip on any of these apostles one’s hand grasped only jelly and slime which
slipped through the fingers and combined again into a solid mass a moment
afterwards. If your adversary felt forced to give in to your argument, on account
of the observers present, and if you then thought that at last you had gained
ground, a surprise was in store for you on the following day."
