Overview
Negro remover for STALKER 2. All in game negro NPCs are removed, only a handful remain in pre-rendered cutscenes. Will remove those as soon as I confirm a way to.

Finished it last week, I've seen female doctors and technicians but no female stalkers as I can tell. There's a girlboss on ward's route who's supposed to be your superior though, don't take ward's side if you don't want to see empowering womyn.

There are 5 I think, 4 as traders or mechanics and 1 is a main character with Ward that you will encounter during their storyline. I am going to work on a mod to remove those as well at some point because it has always been part of the lore that there are no women in the Zone, but removing Agatha might be a problem given that the NPCs in the pre-rendered cutscenes are completely separate from in game ones. I am still investigating how to edit those.

Funny enough I did see the female mesh IDs present in some of the random stalker mesh generator entries, but I have never encountered one in the ~100 hours that I have invested playing/modding/debugging the game. They're most likely not being called is all. Maybe GSC considered it at some point but cut them out of concerns over backlash due to it conflicting with the lore.

There's a basic Alife now, apparently very hard on CPU usage.
They need to offload it to other cores or something.

As for being rushed, I don't think they expected the war and them having to move and lose guys halfway in. I cut them some slack for that. If things had been different, I think they would be way ahead.
Now, compare what they did to CD Projekt Red or Bethesda, who have all the time in the world and release much more broken games.

Yeah 1.1 added an offline functionality for NPCs that I have seen working but I haven't seen persistence. It's a huge improvement from release (which had none at all lol) but still nowhere near CoP level even.

Yeah I'm sure the war was a major setback for development but it was announced in 2018 and that leaves at least a couple years of development time before that would have been an issue. IIRC there was a switch from UE4 to 5 as well but I mean a lot of assets should have been reusable in theory. Even going back to the 2023 leak it was hard to believe the title was in development for years and I thought that it would release in the middle of 2025, the leaked build was very raw and part of me thinks they rushed a 2024 release to try for GOTY considering GTA6 is possibly going to drop in 2025. Really could have used another year of development time imo.

It was inevitable once Microshit rubbed their hands into the project. There are around a dozen unique ******* besides the ones that randomly spawn. It's ridiculous but a lot of modern STALKER fans are either 1.) reddit tier newfags who only got into the series because of GAMMA or Anomaly or 2.) the equivalent of children glad that their alcoholic father (GSC) finally came back home with some spoiled milk and so GSC never really got the flak they deserved for such a garbage design decision. Thankfully it is pretty simple to mod the in game ones out and I am trying to work with the pre-rendered cutscenes but STALKER 2 modding is still in it's infancy so modders are having to figure things out as we go.
