This looks like dogshit but it's kind of a mock up of trying to fit the full ankh in.

It looks uncentered no matter what I do I can't tell what the deal is. I think it's because the border is thicker on one side than the other.
You are encountering some of the challenges that led me to the current iteration. The limited vertical space makes it difficult to fit the entirety of a tall object in frame. Additionally, you may need to insert/remove a column of pixels in order to make it look centered at such a low resolution (something 3 pixels wide cannot be centered in an image that has a width comprised of an even number of pixels).

Could the ankh simply be widened a bit?

That was done along the way. The current iteration has an ankh that is an even number of pixels wide.

As I mentioned earlier, I thought it was funny to shift it off-center by one pixel because the in-game image was so poorly centered. That could be easily changed.

However, in terms of vertical space, in my opinion it isn't really possible to have the entire object visible and still convey what it is clearly. If someone can present a viable solution (such as turning it horizontal as was previously suggested) that people like rusty seems more than willing to update the badge.

Working at that resolution is harder than it looks, but if you come up with something better we can use it.

It can definitely be done, just redraw it to adjust the proportions a little. Make the crossbar thicker and the "hanging" part stubbier without taking away the taper that clearly brings it to an end.
In Jim's version the loop takes up proportionally MORE space than it needs to.

I just moved it a pixel to the left and made it a pixel wider. Someone not ****** can do this in like 10 seconds

Yes, but what he really wants is to have the entire ankh visible.

The challenge is conveying the same idea with 700 pixels instead of 6300.

You could make the badges triangles so they take up less space.

Seeing as it is about the badges, weren't they smaller before? I recall them being round or, at least in the Icewind Dale case, it was the proper logo. I personally preferred them like that because they each were unique, like real badges (and I am a sucker for nostalgia when seeing the proper thing), but if they were changed I am assuming there was some technical reason?

We already can't fit game logos for ****. Cutting even more corners will make it even worse.

This entire thread is about coming up with a unified look for all the badges. Previous ones were a bit slap-dash and not uniform, even though some were superiour, like the Alpha Protocol or the VtMB badges.

Started using the Vampire: The Masquerade Revised Edition Symbol (1998-2011) as the reference:

Then aped the "current" one:

And removed a few pixels to mimic the simpler in-game icon:

Or with Silver's Shine v1

Feedback like this is welcome, but the threshold for me to change the badge is that a draft of a proposed new idea is shared at the appropriate dimensions.

For example, what happened with the Bloodlines one.

Seems like Statesman solved the problem pretty easily with multiple permutations to choose from and multiple people have shown overwhelming support for it... not really sure why it wouldn't be used...
