Games you are looking forward to in 2025

Post by GhostCow »

2025 is looking pretty dry so far. I have some upcoming releases that I want to play, but nothing I'm super excited for. Here's all the ones I'm looking forward to so far:

Skate Story - Play as a demon made of glass skateboarding in the most aesthetic game I've seen

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii - Exactly what it sounds like

Mouse: P.I. For Hire - Black & white boomer shooter with old cartoon aesthetics

Splitgate 2 - Arena shooter with portal guns

Remnant Protocol - Space sim with roguelike elements

There are a few others on my wishlist that I'm just watching and don't really expect to be good. I didn't bother to list those.

Cuckmann's new fetish sim. Not because it looks good but because it will be the final nail in both Cuckmann's and Naughty Dog's gay little coffin. Hope those hundreds of millions of dollars you wasted on this pedophile **** was worth it Sony.

Grim Dawn's newest expansion Fangs of Asterkarn.

It says you need both expansions to play Fangs but it's worth it. I'll link the base game and the definitive edition. The game's always on sale.

Yeah it's annoying but not that big of a deal.

One could make an argument that not having a church in the game at this time is not a big deal. But the dev's anti-theistic and insincere argument (there's no way you can interpret it as taking place anywhere but Western Europe) makes not supporting them a good option.

Good point. I guess I should've said the game's good enough for me to overlook this issue.

This assuming it comes out in 2025. Literally nothing else there are multiple games I wish weren't coming out in 2025 though

I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube, the sequel to Monochrome Mobius. Hopefully most of the game will take place in Arva Shulan (the new fantasy India introduced and briefly visited in MM), rather than Yamato yet again. Hopefully we will get some new party members from Arva. Also hope that the battle system and the aesthetics are refined from MM.

I've been looking forward Vivid World for a while now. The developer has been doing a great job at being responsive towards feedback. I prefer the first game's artstyle but other than that, it seems like a general upgrade in terms of gameplay.

Not giving them a dollar.

They are also fraudulently claiming 'Full Controller Support' and 'Playable' on Steam. This may be on Valve though, they have done nothing to correct this in years.

Nice, it gets a sequel.

There is another Survival Horror game releasing this year and it looks promising:

Still nothing on when Post Trauma is ready, so it can't be included here. The demo was good though.

No don't do this... don't torture me! :(
I have waited for that game for years, even bought the collector's edition back when they've announced it.
Ofc after the grave news of their prev dev team, I've refunded it...

God, I would give anything for a proper Vampire Masquerades: Bloodlines sequel, without any woke crap. But we all know that ain't gonna happen :(
Rest in RIP World of Darkness.

Btw I'm waiting for the new Assassin's Creed, and Neil Cuckmann's new game. The shitshow around these are going to be phenomenal.
