How is Crash Bandicoot with difficulty compared to other similar games? Saw a guy say that the 2nd game had a difficult retro achievement that almost broke him, and though I know those kinds of achievements seem to be fan-made more than anything, he never said anything like that for other retro games he played that I recall.

Its actually hilarious when Crytek added team comms in the latest Hunt patch sayimg "Teams with outside comms have gameplay advantage so we are making ut even for everyone". It was too large, so it wouldn't even open. Looks like it was because the game failed to exit properly. I saw one guy on Reddit had a 1.2 TB file.

I heard something similar with the recent Assasin Creed games that had a female.MC option yet most still played as males.

Activating the lights augmentation (F12 keyboard key) in Deus Ex also made a Steam screenshot on my machine. Not as "pretend" like I thought, but for real. I have now an incredible amount of screenshots from every single time I turned the "eye lights" on and off since starting the game XD

You have to go all the way down to Bronze to find a game with a female lead(Horizon Forbidden West, which was a complete flop on PC). It also appears to be the only game on the entire list of any tier that has a mandatory female protagonist, unless I missed one.

Was looking around for the other Deus Ex games on GOG and found this post from Human Revolution's page. Not exactly sure what it means, but wanted to ask for more information here if anyone knows what this is about. Is the game trying to give user data to the company (like how the likes of Baldur's Gate 3 track player choices etc)?

TL;DR DXHR Directors Cut has built in telemetry, tracking and metrics which phones home to 2 separate companies which causes the freeze. Non-Directors Cut doesn't include telemetry, tracking and metrics and doesn't crash.


Has anyone experienced the game freezing and sound looping after completing a take down (once the camera goes back to first-person) or hacking (after being successful)? It happens every time on the first level for me.

I've tried the usual DX9 mode and turning off HUD notifications, as I feel it's a bug in the nasty "achievements" code that may be running behind the scenes but it made no difference.

The game runs smoothly otherwise, but unfortunately I cannot avoid hacking in the game.

Update 1: I've just noticed via processmonitor that one of the last things for the exe to do is to try and establish a connection to: 184.107.107.213 (but it's fw'd out). I'm not a fan of rabbit holes but I'm keen to know other people's experiences.

Update 2: Sysmon reveals all about that IP address:

All the more complexing in CDPR decision in making Witcher 4 female only instead of the safe option in player made character which is what many people assume it would be.

If this was on a smaller budget I could understand taking such risk. But when your most spending hundreds of millions in marketing and development costs it does make you question why they would do such decisions.
