I would say that one of the reasons Baldur's Gate 3 has been so successful is because there was none of that woke crap during early access and it is (mostly) absent from the first act in the game. Larian later added pronouns to character creation and you could choose a partner of the same sex but that was the limit of it.

Then Larian added the Grimforge to act 1, something that was not present during the majority of early access, and we started to see Hasbro's woke influence.
Then we get to what I call the bait and switch that is BG3, with the woke firehose being turned on full blast near the end of act 2 and the rainbow on full display during act 3.
.... long after people can ask for a refund.

Personally, if this mod did not exist, I would never finish the game because of how insufferably woke the game becomes during act 3.

Oh! That's a very good point. If i further subdivide by early access act 1 and post release act 1 and consider that alfira lakrissa thing only began in act 2....

Although it wasn't the "inclusivity" that did that or else every game that is equally "inclusive" would have had the same impact.

Make the same game with less inclusivity, classical DnD setting, and people would like it even more, as long as they're allowed to enjoy it in peace without the state trying to crack down on them for thought crimes.

The gay gnomes are all there in the Localization files
In fact Grymforge was added on 14th Oct 2021.

There was already a good deal of the game itself available in the very first early access build. iirc, they actually started removing content because people were datamining it.

You could access Grymforge in the very first EA build, btw. I posted about this prior:

You need a way to revive a dead party member by themselves. I don't know of a good way to do it, so I used cheatengine to inject a revive call to the Osiris API.
You start the underdark boat fight, one char jumps off, get teleported dead to your camp, revive them somehow, then have the others jump off and revive them typically. Rest, because you'll have another fight.
Go back to the beach after resting, kill the duergar, take the skiff again, it takes you to the duergar camp.

I didn't explore it so I don't know what was actually implemented at the time.

Yes, I remember unpacking and exploring the files. There was a bunch of stuff related to Baldur's Gate, it was multiple zones at the time e.g., a separate zone for the graveyard and such.

Very interesting information. So, Sven didn't lie when he said in one of his latest interview that in EA stage Larian had a lot of freedom, but then WoTC came and brought some alphabetic additions
