So, I'm currently playing this ****. Really interesting in terms of worldbuilding/aesthetics/etc. Not really hard in terms of difficulty. Anyone else played this or want to play it?
Apparently it has some legit woke **** in it. Of course there's a ****** programmer involved. There's already a weepy-*** story about some old wartime grunt who "cared very deeply" about his commander. So presumably they were packing each other. Le sad le romantic.

Burly *** white guy with a huge bushy mustache, of course. One of them at least. I'll try to get a screenshot later if I'm back in the area.Vergil wrote: ↑ December 2nd, 2024, 06:23What do they look like?Zothique wrote: ↑ December 2nd, 2024, 06:17There's already a weepy-*** story about some old wartime grunt who "cared very deeply" about his commander.
It's typical shoehorned in LGBT ****. I'm fine with organic stories like that, but it's obvious when it's not.
I was interested in this till I found out it was homogay, then I became uninterested.
Not polish enough for that sorry

Remember Synthetic Man reviewing it. Progressive commie **** and the least subtle ****** allegories possible. Anyone saying indie games are the saviour of the industry are huffing copium.
There is a gay couple part of the main quest, a ****** which you can theoretically miss but probably won't.

Look, when vidya gaem journalists compare it to Morrowind, I play it. That simple.
I am enjoying the aesthetics of the game something hard, though. Combat is bonehead, but I don't really care in this context.
Really digging the Undead location a lot. SO GAWFFICK.

In the Clockwork Realm now. Lots of they/them ******/******/****** and blatantly commie ********. I'm so sick of this in gaming. It makes me not even want to continue forward, on top of the fact that this is more of a walking simulator and barely a "game" in the sense of an actual challenge being presented to the player.
To think I was excited about this title years ago. What a joke.

To think I was excited about this title years ago. What a joke. You have to finish at least Clockwork now, there is a highlight waiting at the end.
One of my biggest issues still is, this is barely a game. Combat is an afterthought. I've died once, and it was due to a spike trap. I could make a better open world game if I had the technical knowledge.

@Zothique have you played Morrowind?
I know it's a strange question to ask, but a lot of people have just watched video essays of 'older' games without playing them.

Yes. I bought it when it came out back when I was in high school. Had the map that came with the boxed set and everything. I also re-install it every year to check out new/interesting mods, like Tamriel Rebuilt.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ December 4th, 2024, 09:01@Zothique have you played Morrowind?

Are you referencing how there's so many people comparing this game to Morrowind for some dumb reason?

Most people seem to like Morrowind entirely for its setting, which is why I think the comparison is there.

I won't lie, I've been very interested in this project since it was announced many years ago (via the Dread XP "demo disc" series/trend on itch.io). I'm a great admirer of surreal settings (Morrowind, Planescape Torment, Thief games, to some degree) so I'm always going to be gravitate towards content such as that like stink on ****.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ December 4th, 2024, 09:07Yeah.Zothique wrote: ↑ December 4th, 2024, 09:06Are you referencing how there's so many people comparing this game to Morrowind for some dumb reason?

In their defense, the people who created this are small as far as a dev team goes. What they have created is genuinely impressive in terms of landmass, scope, asset creation, and etc. I have no idea how small teams like that can do it. There are also times where the game really fills me with a certain level of awe. The tendrils of light from the dying(?) star in the distance. The odd dragon-thing that is flying around (that I hear you can converse with later on). The mournful music in Hallowshire. Allegedly getting a fully-operational airship to fly around in realtime (near the end, though, so what's the ******* point?)
So many great ideas here. It really makes me bitter.

Once you're finished with this, consider giving Enderal(via Enderal SE) a try. It's a completely new game made using the skyrim engine. The setting appears a bit mundane on the surface but definitely leans towards the surreal side once you scratch it a bit.

I've wanted to play this for a while, but I don't have a rig for it. I've heard a lot of great things, though.

I didn't finish it, but did enjoy my time with it — probably 60+ hours. I was having a lot of technical issues with the original, non-SE version when I played it that are presumably fixed with the SE version.

I found this thread as one of the latest Skyrim-likes is made by Poles. I was wondering if Dread Delusion was any good, but I had a weird feeling, so I was postponing buying it.
Did anyone here finish it? Can you just murder the cringe characters?
