Post by rusty_shackleford »

The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.

I didn't know how much I supported project 2025 until I read this article. Maybe they will all quit and go work at starbucks in california. That could only benefit everyone in the long term.

The movie Industry should be renamed summer time A24 thrillers, John Wick, and Deadpool industry, because that's the only **** anybody shows up for.

So the people who legally are NOT citizens of a country still have "civil rights" somehow, huh. :pipe-thinking:

You know, this whole Project 2025 thing is a conspiracy theory where that hack Oliver tried to connect Trump to a document he neither wrote nor read.

But after this article I think Trump should take a close look and incorporate some of those ideas. Game development needs an exorcism.

After so many times of far left politics in video games, would be funny if we get right wing politics in video games.

Metatron talked about a hypothetical Dragon Age : Make Kingdom great again game and honestly. Seems great. Timestamped video bellow. At around 3m :

He gives some examples of quests like preventing a noble from disarming people. Could be even better quests like replacing illegals with constructs and other stuff like that.

"We should also note that expanding the definition of pornography in vague and uncertain terms may mean video games featuring sexualized characters of any type could be targeted by such legislation."

I am good with that. Having all the ******** sex crap removed from games is fine with me. Lets go back to the days of "they kiss... and fade to black". I always hated how movies, TV shows, and eventually games started putting in what is clearly porn.

And I would mandate that every legally adult (biologically) female member of the screen actor's guild be required to do one publicly posted freely viewed hardcore porn before being confirmed cast in a role, every time. One role: one public reaming.
Those ******* need to be taken down a whole lot of pegs.
The Romans were right about actresses and female entertainers. (Male ones, too, but I don't have Astarion's proclivities, so IDGAF about them.)

That particular "concern" stuck out for me because the current mainstream devs are desperately trying to normalize stuff like hideous queers being degenerates who walk around exposing themselves indecently.

A normal person would look at that anti-porn/anti-sexualization legislation and think "oh so games like adult visual novels would be affected" or even "games like Stellar Blade would be affected", but the leftards' brains instead go immediately towards the ugly **** they want to normalize, regardless of how much they insist that their sexual deviancy is "innocent and harmless".

I feel like Project 2025 will be a welcome addition to the gaming industry although it will take a while to implement due to bureaucracy being slower than sun-dried molasses. Perhaps I'm being too optimistic here but I'm hoping these policies cause Total Poojeet Unemployment. It would be hilarious to see large tech companies suddenly panic once they lose access to their cheap overseas workforce and become overwhelmed with the huge workload that would pile up afterwards as a result of that.

In my opinion, Stellar Blade would be better if she wore various believable skintight combat nanosuits instead of coomer-bait swimsuits, schoolgirl outfits, nightclubwear, and those utterly ridiculous high heels all the orientals put on every woman they make in games.
(I've seen more imbecilic high heeled plate armor boots lately and I can't get past how idiotic it looks.)
It's fetishist nonsense because they're silly sexualized clothing and it should be stopped because I don't like it! πŸ˜‰

Well, the main character Eve was designed by a woman, and just like it was the case with Bayonetta who was also designed by a woman it appears that women enjoy giving their heroines the most ridiculous and ineffective costumes to wear while fighting monsters several times bigger than they are. lol

Has Trump ever even one time remotely mentioned Project 2025 in any tangible way?
I'm just stating the facts.

I very much doubt that happening in the foreseeable future, certainly not in a AAA or AA( rare exceptions being games like KCD 2)

Project 2025 makes Trump looks far more based then he actually is so I find it funny how his political opponents keeps pushing it as ifs it’s true.

Yeah, he is a practicing Christian but he fancies himself a "center right" and a "truth seeker" but we all know that's just code words for fence sitting. He has some good takes but is not really right wing and is more "libertarian" in the sense that he doesn't mind *******, ****** and other degenerates as long as they do their **** in the privacy of their own homes. Which is exactly how we got the "pride month" and "pride parades" and "gender affirming surgery".
