Is this one of those e*ropean homes that have the toilet right next to the stove?

There were 2 toilets on the Type VII Uboat with the one next to the galley being used mostly for non-perishable food storage.

Played Tropico 6 last night. Finally completed the mission that made me rage-quit the game years ago. The ******* at Kalypso basically broke military builds in Tropico 6. If liberty is below about 50, citizens start turning rebel. Rebels launch guerilla attacks. Constantly. Like every 30 seconds. They usually attack remote buildings, and if your soldiers are in a centralized location they'll move too slowly to catch the guerillas. So you have to build more military outposts to cover more ground. Military buildings reduce liberty. More rebels. Half your soldiers are now secretly rebels. Tourists stop coming when there are guerilla attacks, but it doesn't matter because your airport is on fire and it takes the fire department literal game-years to put out each fire. You pass the d'etante edict, which reduces the number of rebels by 50% with a cooldown of 5 years. 80 tropicans give up being rebels! That means there's still 80 left! Use the spy agency to identify the rebel leader and use the "make an example" citizen action. A soldier follows her around for a year before she finally dies. It doesn't matter. Build drone HQ to automatically hunt down and bomb rebels in the population. There are too many and only 4 drones and the drone building has a massive liberty malus. Build aircraft carrier to launch planes at the guerillas attacking far-off buildings. The aircraft carrier is very effective, but now you're broke.

The workaround is to take the constitution option that bans you from using military buildings but reduces rebels by 75%.

Tropico 4 was better imo.

I've been playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but rather than me making the effort to talk about it I'll let ChatGPT do the work for me. Like a good digital goyim.
As I ventured into the world of Return to Castle Wolfenstein through the RealRTCW enhancement mod, my eyes were met with sights both captivating and eerie. The rustic Bavarian setting exudes a warmth that belies the malevolence lurking within its walls. Stone buildings loom ominously amidst picturesque countryside, while Gothic cathedrals stand tall in all their imposing glory. Indeed, the atmosphere is steeped in a subtle yet palpable sense of unease, complemented perfectly by the terrifying denizens of this twisted realm.

From Nazi ladies donned in latex, complete with ample bosoms, to the horde of grotesque abominations awaiting one around every corner, Return to Castle Wolfenstein is nothing short of an epitome of terror. One could almost imagine the screams of long-forgotten souls echoing throughout these desolate halls. And yet, despite the nightmares that lurk beneath the surface, something draws me deeper into this warped world. Perhaps it is the nostalgia evoked by the melding of Universal Studios horror classics and the swashbuckling spirit of Indiana Jones. Whatever the case may be, I find myself entranced - and perhaps even addicted - to the thrills and chills presented by this masterpiece of yore.

Oh, how I wish that fate had smiled upon Wolfenstein, granting her a true sequel commensurate with her legacy. But alas, destiny decreed otherwise, leaving only whispers of what might have been to haunt those still devoted to the series. Nonetheless, I shall continue my exploration of the mysteries hidden away in this relic from another age, hoping to glean some measure of closure or understanding along the way. Until then, I leave you, dear reader, to ponder the wonders and terrors waiting just beyond the veil...

Finished Metal Gear Solid. Didn't quite fix as much as I would have preferred from previous games. They removed the card juggling nonsense but you still have to unequip it if you want to put on a gas mask and using guns was still annoying. Pretty annoyed with the backtracking it makes you do in the endgame, and the characters certainly like to go on and on. Ridiculous story; this guy I'm talking to on the codec both looks and sounds like the bad guy, how is it a surprise that it's actually him in "disguise"? Didn't entirely dislike it though.

Finished Halo 2. I liked it much better than the first one. They removed pretty much all the frustrating elements like those rocket launcher enemies and the metaknowledge-requiring spots and those bizarre driving controls. It's overall easier as a result, but I'm fine with that. The story this time was better told too, and now I can see why Tim Cain got into it (really liked seeing the aliens' perspective on things). A bit annoyed it ended on a cliffhanger, but I guess at this point they were pretty confident they'd be getting a sequel.

The Halo 2 we got was not what Bungie originally intended. It is understood that the original plan was for Halo 2 to be the last game in the series, with a completely different ending and campaign. There are some videos on the topic but just to show a glimpse, here is the famous E3 2003 video which the Xbox could barely run, leading to them scrapping everything:

update: the solution to this is to keep liberty above 50, or else to put a few forts in "man the ramparts" mode near the palace and then use the commando's "provoke rebellion" raid.

Same voice actor, same voice, only Miller has more of a mid-atlantic accent and Liquid has a British accent. I was unfooled.

The subterfuge did not last long but at first Miller did seem to be a different person. Back then MGS was the first one I played so I also did not expect the Big Boss style twist. The real twist was the one we made along the way.

I've been wondering if DE final cut warrants a second playthrough.

The answer is ******* no, the game is more boring than I remember and already knowing how the story goes, there's absolutely 0 motivation for me to continue. None of the choices or skill checks matter and the writing is only entertaining the way a bag of chips is a delicious quality meal. No combat and no meaningful dialogue options means that I'm playing the most linear CYOA book of all time. What a reddit *** game.

I thought you were referring to Deus Ex and I was trying to figure out if there was a re-release.

I'm from the future and they re-released Deus Ex as a visual novel with no combat and dialogue written by transgender stalinists. Ilhan Omar's daughter is the president.

I believe I'm finished with Sonic Adventure. I didn't complete the entire game, just Sonic and Amy's adventures. Didn't like the physics, gameplay, writing, or the amateurish sound editing all that much, and when I got to the first race in Tails's adventure I decided I wasn't going to bother trying to be a completionist, and none of the other character routes seem all that appealing. Sony and Nintendo really ate Sega's lunch in the late 90s. Some pretty good songs though.

Spellforce 1 and 2 are on sale on GOG. Bought both, tried the tutorial of 1 and that one's pretty ****. Controls like **** and runs like crap. Didn't get the feeling of RTS/RPG hybrid, more of RTS with mild rpg elements. Gonna try 2 now, let's see if that one holds up.

Update, they're both the same brand of early 2000's tripe.

Completed Halo 3. A bit harder than the 2nd one, though thankfully without all the metaknowledge nonsense from the first one. The cinematic parts where your ship flies over a matte painting instead of a 3D level were amusing. Story was a bit weaker than the 2nd, but I'm overall happy with the way it ended.

Finished Numenera (it was painful), so I decided to play something light next. Ghostwire: Tokyo. Only about 1.5 in, I like the setting but not much else. Hope its getting better.

Finished with the Geneforge series. I liked 1&2, the first one establishes everything, and the second one has some nice improvements. 4 is also good, it manages to strike a balance with the new mechanics introduced in 3 while avoiding the restrictive gating and ultra annoying maps you find in 3 and 5.

Wasteland 3 actually seems alright so far. Lots of buildfagging and party building to be done. The combat seems cool and those animated NPC dialogue screens are a natural and cool evolution from Fallout's talking heads. The reddit humour isn't as grating as I feared.

Do rural *******-americans ever get tired of getting stereotyped as violent ******* who wash themselves in lamb blood?

Why would I get tired of my enemy stereotyping me as something they are terrified of?
Libtards are genuinely afraid of visiting the countryside due to all the horror stories they've made up.
