Don't Nod on strike today. Their demand are no layoffs and other insane nonsense. It's wild to see how delusional they are. Most people understand, the more value you bring in, the better your negotiation position in these cases. For game devs its the other way around. They believe the less they do, the more power they have.

They should just fire everyone with no compensation and start new in another country. Besides the IP there is absolutely nothing of value there anyway.

Aren’t there recent games selling like ****? Kinda odd time to strike when not even profitable.

Somehow they are unable to make the connection between sales and employee cost, might be a very French thing. Ubifags pulling the same crap. Not sure where they think their salaries actually come from.

Probably didn't fill out all of the government paperwork to be allowed to fire their bad employees.

Well economics are the bane of socialism/communism ideology - the more one learns about how the real world works, the less liberal they become - so I imagine that modern-day universities who pride themselves in being "progressive" would not only actively avoid to teach its students about economy, but would also fill their heads with delusional stuff like "the world has unlimited money" or some similar form of ********.

Let me guess: A gaming-specific Substack newsletter in which the first few "editions" you release are free so you can build an "audience." After a month of that, you'll start begging subscribers to pay $6 a month, or $60 a year, to keep the newsletter going. When a single-digit percentage convert to paying readers, that won't be enough, you'll get ******, then throw everything behind a paywall. You'll continue raging on X, and when your tweets go viral, you'll plug your ****** newsletter -- "Love or hate my takes? Subscribe to my newsletter!" -- as a low-brow way to get subscribers.

Patreon, an interesting choice. She probably went with that so she gets a paywall for her ****** writing and a place to post pictures of herself being an unattractive thot.

Thanks, guess I asked for that one...
But I still really have no clue... honestly, I don't know what this Kotaku is/famous for either... Is it this Concord-thingy or something?
Ah, never mind. The reason I don't know about this chick and the company is probably I have no interest whatsoever in what they make.
Forget I asked, I probably really don't wanna know, actually.
Anyway, she has a nice bathroom, if nothing else.

Correction, she has gone back to whoring, since that's what she was doing before downgrading to being a game journalist.

Fun fact, her father and grandfather are both cops.

The funniest thing is that Unknown 9 was supposed to be a multi-media spanning franchise that they hoped to expend beyond videogames, just like Concord was supposed to be.

Methinks that nothing is more narcissistic that believing that your success is somehow 100% guaranteed despite such belief being based on absolutely nothing. kek

Thinking a new unproven IP is going to be some mega media franchise is destined for failure.Even well established video developers with multiple successful commercial hits failed attempting the very same thing.

They should have a section at the Game Awards just scrolling through the layoffs this year, I would watch that.

When a prostitute retires, she becomes a journalist.
