It's both repulsive and yet completely hilarious. How in the **** did Bioware manage to beclown themselves like this?

Also, don't tell me that anyone is actually romancing the elf goblins?

Saw a great comment on youtube: "EA replaced DRM with DEI as a better anti-piracy measure". So true!

I am not far enough into the game to confirm it either way. I am spending most of the weekend having a huge dinner with my family, instead of playing this garbage.

A thought: EA might know what it's doing.

1. Take the money from Blackrock under conditions to make woke game
2. Place all the activists in the company into the already dying studio and let them do what they want producing an expecting garbage.
3. The game expectedly flops and everyone gets fired (with sad face and deep regrets, of course).
4. Profit! (money kept, some peanuts even brought back, all activists gone, IP is frozen for the future)

But I might give EA too much credit.

Blackrock didn't fund the entire 9 years of development. EA wanted something profitable, not this big money-sink. They made moves beforehand to stop the bleed like taking TOR away from Austin and cutting the budget, which resulted in layoffs that included a lot of seniors and is now resulting in lawsuits because they didn't give them the severance they're legally owed (money wasn't there, truly a damned situation).

Yeah, he is estimating 1 million sold, but somehow it can't hit 100k online?

Can anyone explain to me how that is?
Multiply the concurrent players number by 10. They're hovering around 850,000 which is close enough to a million.
10 percent on at peak is the running average for most games?

Actually, disregard that. I watched the video in full now (only saw the last half minute or so based on the "10 last seconds are amusing" in which I thought he referred to people who criticize this cultural revolution ****).

This game is not.

The sand people build some fine houses on sand, far superior efforts to any spent on this game. Some of them last a long time. Bioware employees should be shipped off to the Sahara and sold into slavery to the Tuaregs IMO.

I have to wonder what was going through the minds of the EA executives when they were enacting measures to stop the money bleed.

They'll fire people, cut the budget, take IPs and hand them off to a less difunctional team, but not order the ****** to make an apolitical game, with good-looking characters, aimed at a heterosexual, male audience?

I like to mention that the Dead Space remake sold over two million units and was considered a commercial failure by EA.

This is goes back to your discussion with Rusty about cheap loans from blackrock. May be EA try to ***** itself to blackrock not for cheap loans but for blackrock to buy their shares?

I probably would have purchased the Dead Space remake if they hadn't changed the toilets to non-gendered.

People have a really hard time judging when it comes to budgets of this scale. Veilguard was probably EA's most expensive game they've ever made — yes, above swtor. This needed at least half a million sales to begin looking like it would recoup costs.
It's one of the biggest video game flops of all time and the complete denial just makes it funnier.
