people will see a game with a pajeeta doing pushups to apologize to a non-binary dragonkin for misgendering xir and go "wow… this game has been ruined by being marketed towards the wider audience…"

this game has the most narrow audience I've ever seen in a AAA game

I think they used the same base mesh with minor adjustments for both men and women because biology is nazi or something.
Ironically, women are getting treated worse now by wokies than when men were creating "hypersexualized" versions of females. Now they just get secondhand male art.
They don't care. Especially mentally ill liberal women. There is a reason why communism is so appealing to them. Under communism no woman is better and prettier than the rest of them. Liberal feminists can not stand to see other women who are happier and prettier than them. Even if they are make believe. They will gladly let in ******** to destroy the concept of femininity as they rather have men look at ugly women then have them not looking at them and kissing their asses. This whole thing with ugly women in video games is just motivated by liberal women and their deep seated envy towards other women. Nobody hates women more than liberal feminist women.

I'm about 2 hours in. The writing is abysmal. I see all the pretty assets, the good-looking hair, hear the orchestral music. And all of it is in service of fundamentally poisoned product. All of that money and time wasted, while the writing, which is literally the cheapest part of the whole game development process, is given to the ****** hacks who don't even do it for the money or the love of the setting, but for the opportunity to saturate the game with their disgusting ideology.
The voice acting is bad too. The mystery meat cripple mage companion does sound like she was voiced by a ******, even though the VA is a woman. The ***** elf companion sounds like a parody of those manic pixie dream girl characters. She's written by the Joss Whedon acolytes, except he knew how to not overdo it, as insufferable as he was. These writers can't write anything other than tumblr fanfiction, it seems.
Anyway, I reached the first elven camp. The demographics are literally LA tier. Black and Asian elves everywhere. And not the mixed light-skinned or hapa looking elves, but sub-Saharan tar-skinned blacks and WW2 anti-Jap poster Asians. It's disgusting.
****'s sake, we know what exotic elves from the warmest climates should look like. Fenris from DA2 was from Tevinter and he and his master had white features and looked tan. Their darker skin tone already marked them as exotic, they didn't need African features for that.

wow, it managed to shatter the record of bioware's last steam release title…. dragon age 2. :old2:

I wouldn’t be surprised if EA keeps BioWare alive just to save face even though all signs shows the game is underperforming.

Looking like it might not even crack 1 million copies sold on Steam until it's on discount. Low estimate is ~110k, high estimate is ~500k.

I had to scroll past about 50 negative reviews to find the first positive one?? It's sorted by "most helpful today", like the store page??

I have to wonder how many more fuckups EA is willing to tolerate from BioWare. They've closed down better, more successful studios for less, yet keep the ***** commune around for brand recognition?

Smartest thing EA could do would be to hand over the development of a new Mass Effect to a studio that isn't as radioactive as BioWare.

IGN portugal used "return to form" directly translated, apparently it's not how portuguese speakers would actually write it tho, brazilian or otherwise
https://archive.is/hFjvp
Dragon Age: The Veilguard é um regresso à forma do BioWare.
If you google "regresso à forma", the review itself is the top result if you're curious as to how non-standard it may be. If you exclude veilguard, there's about 120 results containing "regresso à forma".

If I had to guess, it was added by a non-portuguese editor?

Apparently, from Smash JT, the "return to form" was demanded by the director. So naturally the dicksuckers went all in, no matter if it makes sense or not. Ever since my teenage days I never used nor trusted urinalists to make a decision about a purchase. But I'm still amazed by how easily manipulated and stupid people really are.
Could be but I never heard it ever in PT news, magazines, web articles, family discussions... like ever.

And I'm from a family native from Cabo Verde (old Portuguese colony), with strong Portuguese roots, got brazilians in the family aswell.

Seems like it was added by the editors or someone higher up as the person writing the article would know how to include it properly, I'd assume.

The smartest thing to do would be to gut Bioware. Not just a few developers or higher-ups, everyone needs to go, from their head writers to the ******* janitor. Then install actually competent people to work on Mass Effect.

Everyone who ever made something good at Bioware (accidentally or not) already left so it's not like the normies care either. Since Bioware is doomed to be a ******* skinsuit at this point I'd prefer that someone actually skilled at game making wore the name instead of this trooned out circus.

Even their shilling is becoming less competent. Are we experiencing the final death throes of game journalism's last remaining brain cell?

Bad word of mouth

Terrible marketing

God awful first impression by the announcement trailer

Edit: Most Importantly the bowling shoe ugly character designs

You can might be able to get away with one these issues but all together it becomes a death nail for any game even for normies. Epecially for AAA games since building hype and excitement is paramount to success.

I tried it too, got to about the same spot. Did you notice the Southeast Asian elf with the accent? Not only are elves completely deracinated with no means of explanation but they have ******* accents to match the geographical origin of the race they inherited from Earth, lol.

The gameplay is pretty bad too, it's all just running from point a to b in consecutive skinner boxes picking up a few shiny objects and solving puzzles made for *******. They made no effort at all to dress it up as anything other than simply a video game in the most sterile and clinical sense. It's like playing as a chicken that's been trained to peck at lights.

devs see people complain about open worlds and they think what people want is a return to games that are just hallways. Basically, they just went back 15 years:

This is really not an exaggeration with this game, except the cutscenes are always at the beginning and end of the corridor, and all of the cutscenes in the diagram would be replaced by puzzles that a bird could solve, just to keep you from walking to the end too quickly.

Another thing: I absolutely ******* despise magic as technology. The materialist maggots who wrote this game have reduced everything to some kind of science yet unknown, replete with mechanization, computation and industry, where magical energy is basically just ******* electricity. You spend half the game picking up "power crystals" to place in receptacles so you can lower the ******* forcefield that's keeping you from advancing down the next leg of the corridor.

It's like they're adverse to anything being genuinely cool, mystical or mysterious. No, it all has to be something the autistic ***** elf can "fix" or engineer somehow.

I noticed a lot of content creators who are neutral on the game keep saying the game selling decently for concurrent numbers of mid 75,000.

This is the same publisher who said not selling 10 million units or more is commercial disappointment. Not sure why there saying this when there not shills but the numbers don’t add up to being anywhere close to hit.

I should also add that the previous entry Dragon Age inquisition sold 12 million units.

Yeah, she speaks with an Engrish accent and sounds like Jackie Chan in Rush Hour. And the black guy elf she's paired up with reads his lines like he just doesn't give a ****.
What a ******* joke.

Yeah they are ******. The ******** who bought this slop are coping hard for 75k players on steam, that's really bad. That explains the positive reviews too, soyboy slop slurpers give it a thumbs up to cope, meanwhile normal people just aren't going to buy it.
