It peaked at 70k on the first day, this is a flop for a triple A game of an established IP. Total War: Warhammer 3 reached 166k sales on its first day lol

Unfortunately the wokies got away with this one and Bioware will destroy Mass Effect next.

Around 60-70k players on Steam, mostly bought due to boredom, the IP name and to be frank a lot are ****-eaters.

Bioware and EA managed to squeeze every sale with paid reviews, censorship and a nice bait'n'switch : by the time you can refund the game (2 hours of play), you'll start seeing woke ****, the Qunari ***** and **** will be more in your face.Add to that a general dumb audience and there we go.

Won't be like Concord sadly.

60-70k is nowhere near good enough for how much this cost to make

really feel like people are overlooking that this is probably the most expensive 'RPG' ever made after CP2077

There's definitely more than 100k shitlibs with Steam that would play this. If there wasn't, the world would be a different place.
In USA, alone, there's 13.7 million users, and we've all seen the cities full of BLM, LGBT fanatics that would gobble this dogshit up.

They got away with nothing. As has been pointed out, the game is a complete failure on all fronts. It will make nowhere near what it needs to break even.

People know they rigged the jurno reviews and now people are starting to question some oddities about the steam reviews (ie numerous reviews are being nuked, or so claimed as well as claims of artificially creating reviews to push it into the "mostly positive").

The whole thing is a **** show fakery. They knew what was riding on this game to the public and any "appearance" of success is smoke and mirrors to promote the faggotry the game was designed on.

As time goes on, the game is going to be more and more of a joke to the public.

Morrison called, he said "this is the end".

EA and Bioware needed this game to do better than Starfield. Starfield had a peak of over 300k and, while it is considered a failure by both Microsoft and Bethesda, they were able to recoup their losses and made somewhat of a profit that allowed them to warrant a DLC. I don't see this happening to this game. I see a Battlefield 2042 situation in that, despite what would be decent numbers for an indie game, the number count is considered a failure for a established AAA release.

Is DAO worth it? I've never really given it a chance due to the reputation garnered by the rest of the series...

This. Plus don't forget about those free GeForce Now copies and it is rather cheap for a AAA game, including regional pricing. The revenue that will make is nowhere near sustainable for them.

edit: Thought it was sold for 50, well nevermind then,

True and Dilation Age: Deadname also had something similar with the Nivida giveaway. The fact that they can't crack 100k on Steam despite giving this game away for free is not a good sign for Bioware. Remember that EA and Bioware were marketing this game as the "Baldur's Gate 3 killer" They were hoping that this game would do better in player peak than BG3. Utter ******* delusional pipe dream.

Watching the ***** dancing is amusing.

"OMG 68k online, we won! The game is a huge success!"

Its like a college grad walking into a corp hire job making 38k for the first time in their lives of never having worked and going "OMG IM RICH!", then they have to pay the bills. LOL

Yeah, umm... you mean it beat COD on top sales? Currently... right?

Yet... look at currently online and peak players of the games listed.

Keep in mind, this is a AAA game on release day, and its "currently online" is actually declining right now.

The articles are being disingenuous, cod 6 released a week ago so of course it's not selling as well today as a newly released big name title

Yeah, but even so... it is nowhere the "claim" it is even if it did. Heck, it couldn't even beat Factorio on peak players for being a AAA game on release day.

Player count declining on release day doesn't bode well. Maybe it will hit 100k on Saturday or something?

Speaking of the charts...Wukong has been out two months and is a totally linear game with hundreds of complete video playthroughs online at this point and it still has higher 24 hour peak.

By the way, how the **** does DATV have Mostly Positive reviews and PUBG has only 58% Positive?

The DLC was planned a year before the game launched and was part of the preorder bonus.
Even if the game flopped they had to deliver that DLC - most people already paid for it.

Question is - do they make another? :pipe-hat:
