Loghain was the good guy, actually.
Nope, I just found it awkward, gave it an hour, didnt improve, went to play a game with better controls.
Loghain isn't 300% right. He's not even 100% right. I can concede 98.3% right at most because he chose the most useless fighter spec in DAO, tWo hAnDeD. Fighters in DAO have 2 functions:
-Manage aggro (swordboardbro)
-Inflict DPS more consitently than rogue (2wpnpwn)
If you're using your warriors for AoE effects and such you either need to bump difficulty up from easy or remove Sten's qun **** from your mouth (he's Lawful Evil)
-Manage aggro (swordboardbro)
-Inflict DPS more consitently than rogue (2wpnpwn)

I made my Aeducan into a two-handed killing machine on Nightmare. Reaver + Templar + the blood magic buffs from the Warden Tower DLC. Finished Amgarrak on Nightmare with it too.Ratcatcher wrote: ↑ September 1st, 2024, 05:30Loghain isn't 300% right. He's not even 100% right. this is revealed in veilguard, they've been indoctrinating people in every game and everything bad is due to the dragon age reapers and everything is now retconned

In Inquisition, you set up several bases throughout the world of Thedas, and eventually, you’ll receive a war table operation that tells you symbols drawn in chalk have started appearing on those bases depicting a downward-pointing triangle covered by two wavy lines. This symbol is shown at the very end of The Veilguard’s post-credits scene as the voiceover says, “We come.” This entire scene seems to imply the Executors have been putting their plans into motion by manipulating characters like Loghain and Bartrand throughout Dragon Age. Whatever they’ve been working toward is finally coming to fruition, and they are coming to Thedas in the near future.
The brief, one-minute clip you did all that work to unlock has a lot of wide-reaching ramifications for the Dragon Age series. It depicts art of several key events of each game in BioWare’s series, but with cloaked, shadowy figures inserted into them. This includes the Battle of Ostagar in Dragon Age: Origins that led to the loss of most of Ferelden’s Grey Wardens, Bartrand’s stealing of the Lyrium Idol in Dragon Age II and setting off a chain of events that resulted in the Mage-Templar War, and Corypheus’ opening of The Breach in Dragon Age: Inquisition and nearly destroying the world as we know it. The voiceover from a devilish, unknown individual recounts how their group has “balanced” and “guided” the people of Thedas in one way or another, resulting in the events of previous games. To what end? That’s unclear at the moment.

(Fine! You want a self-insert ****** in a popular game, I hate it but understand the appeal, but why do you have to kill the lore?! Agh!)
This is getting worse by the day, to be honest. Agree with TKVNC. Bioware have managed to turn their own setting, which was highly interesting in the beginning, into utter crap. Quite the achievement. Weekes must be proud, I guess.TKVNC wrote: ↑ October 31st, 2024, 22:46I mean they've butchered everything else about Dragon Age, so I wouldn't be surprised.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ October 31st, 2024, 22:42please be realrusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ October 31st, 2024, 22:24btw turns out that loghain was actually indoctrinated by a reaper and was forced to do it

Well, DA lore in my world ends with the defeat of the Mother. From there on, it is MY world (should I ever pick up DA TTRPG again).

I am playing right now and just found him in the cage. No, he never mentions horns, but the first question you ask is "What are you?" and branches to an explanation about "your kind and my kind." It was stated from the start - qunari are not humans. They settled on the look in DA2 and I happen to love that look (just grey skin as a mark of "non-human" was not enough justification to me). Arishok (again, to me) remains the most badass character in DA2.
"Creature" doesn't mean they have horns. Besides, something that's clearly not Human, Dwarf or Elf is bound to get called strange.PixiGreen wrote: ↑ November 7th, 2024, 11:34I am playing right now and just found him in the cage. I personally think the non-autistic Qunari have a more commanding presence. More of a Grey Man vibe.
Almost no predators have horns - because they don't need to look scary.
