TEN ******* YEARS and...this slop is what I get? After 10 year of waiting I have to see the curvy FEMALE Qunari lady from the concept art turned into a They/Them? I ******* called it too, the reason they were barely showing anything about Taash right up until release. Dragon Age II was slapped together in like, what, 14 months? It accounted for 20-ish choices from the previous game. Inquisition took into account a similar number across two games. TEN YEARS and I get THREE choices taken into account, can't escape or ignore they/them PRONOUN ********, and have to watch Isabella do a ******* STRUGGLE SESSION?!!

I'll be playing Origins on release day. I MIGHT get this, when it's 60-80% off in a few months and some mods to make it somewhat bearable are available. Maybe, though now...very unlikely.

Yes all true and apparently all of the competent BW devs (that still hadn't left post Inquisition) quit the studio after EA pulled the plug on what was back then, in 2016, called project Joplin (DA4) which needless to say had an entire different vision, to help the beta boy cocksuckers who were working on Mass Effect: Andromeda. And they still failed to meet fans' expectations even after ME3 lowered the bar so drastically lol. Wtf

Console yourself knowing that Dragon Age was meant as a one and done project; the original team didn't vision any sequels and I'm not even sure if its expac ‘Awakening’ was planned or if EA forced them to make it after Origins' success. I think either Darrah or Gaider alluded to this fact in an interview I watched years ago

I wouldn't say modders made the game better for the majority of the playerbase (mods removing or blocking woke trash). You only find them here pretty much, anything else from Nexus to any patreon page will either be neutral/normal or be one of those low rated gay mod adding a **** to shadowheart or a pussy to Wyll.

I know of at least 3 modding sites that host "mods removing woke trash", but I get what you are trying to say. Nexus is one wrong step away from a more (ironically) inclusive site taking their spot.

You can treat it as a standalone title. The first game is actually entirely self-contained with all the DLC imo. Not every thread needs to be wrapped up, the ending is fine.

It's an okay, middling game. It became popular mostly because of the RPG desert at the time. Combat is alright, but you can see the proto-DEI ambiance creeping in.
