Holy ****! The head writer for this game is the ****** from Kotaku that said that Persona 5 contained a disability slur and proudly declared on Twitter that they now have a vagina (rot pocket).

Pretty depressing that one of my favourite games when I was a teenager has turned to a walking abomination.

I knew the game was going to be **** but couldn’t imagine it to be a complete dumpster fire of a clown show.

Remember, this is just one of the ****** writers. There is bound to be more. Why don't we all take a guess to how many ******** wrote for this game. I am guessing around 10.

Confirmed that reviewers were explicitly told to not discuss Taash during their reviews, btw.

This whole thing has somewhat mystified me. How could such a bad game be made, and what are they thinking making it such blatant propaganda that will be jarring to everyone who isn't a certain subset of women and ******* whose brains have been rotted by consuming tumblr fan-fiction smut? But I'm coming to the realization that it's simple: it's a game made by those people, for those people. It's tumblr fan-fiction smut with a $150m+ budget. It's the triumphal cry of the infantilized, narcissistic bottoms.

I'm stating that this is 'confirmed' because it matches the language you see in most reviews. The request states specifically to not discuss the specifics of Taash's "personal journey".
Guess what phrase pops up repeatedly in reviews specifically regarding companions?

https://www.pcgamer.com/games/dragon-ag ... rd-review/
There apparently just isn't time for nuance when there are gods to fight, so every character either has an intensely personal journey with no wider ramifications or a revenge plot against an unquestionably evil person.
They don't have convictions that conflict with decisions I'm making as their leader and in fact put some of the biggest choices about their own personal journeys into my hands.
Rook's companions are each a member of the major factions I'm courting to our god-slaying cause, bringing with them faction-specific sidequests and their own personal journeys too.
https://gamerant.com/dragon-age-the-vei ... rsonality/
What players might find most intriguing about Taash is her complexity. While she bears a rough and seemingly impenetrable exterior, she is actually very gentle on the inside. As game director Corinne Busche revealed in a recent interview with IGN, Taash's character arc is one of introspection. Her personal journey sees her examining her own reflection in a mirror, attempting to discern her place in the world, her goals and intentions, and coming to an acceptance of who she is. More than likely, this softer side of Taash will be revealed the more players get to know her.
https://www.rpgsite.net/review/16473-dr ... ard-review
It's reflected in the way the team's rooms start out as empty spaces in the Lighthouse (the game's extradimensional home base), but gradually grow more detailed, reflecting progress in both the main story and each companion's growth and personal journey. I

So I love the juxtaposition, actually, between Taash's personal journey and this imposing literal dragon slayer, that sort of hard exterior and really gentle interior. It makes Taash a really special companion for me.”

Would be interesting to analyze these reviews and see what phrases they share with a high probability of it being outside influence.

The funniest thing is that, normally, the average everyday gamer wouldn't really care that much that this type of game exists if it wasn't for the fact that these very same infantilized narcissistic bottoms are also actively trying to remove all the other games that aren't made by and for them in a childish attempt to force everyone to support their ****** fanfic platforms by creating a world were the games they make are the only games that exist.

It's been said many times, but this is why bullying is necessary. This type of personality needs to be kept in check with extreme prejudice, and the fact that it's a dominant cultural force is an indictment of us all. (It also probably doesn't help that they're Canadians, in this case)

The game isn't going to be an absolute disaster, but it's going to be very tough for it to squeak into "moderate success" territory.

Everything EA has done in regards to promotion approaching the launch shows they know they have a pile of **** on their hands and they're trying to eke out as many sales as they can before people can actually lay eyes on it in all its horror. Whether or not ignorance and blind, brand-name loyalty will allow them to crawl out of the abyss is yet to be seen, but they really didn't want the leaked scenes to come out when they did.

These preorder numbers aren't too dissimilar from Ragnarok, btw. So I'm going to guess a concurrent playercount of ~50k peak.

50k is easily possible, I am just surprised how much pull this brand still has. I mean I can't imagine many are playing this because they got convinced by the promo garbage they have put out until now.

If EA was so proud of this game and how "inclusive" and "Pro-LGBTQAPGTZ+" it is then they would have been plastering that scene everywhere. EA would have done so 4 years ago. Now they won't and are instead trying to hide it. Could it be that companies like EA know that this **** is unpopular and that the culture is turning the other way? Really makes one think.

My guess is EA is just trying to salvage what they can at this point. They probably knew what was going to be delivered when they amputated Bioware Austin last year.

I think they just know the execution of it in this game was so incompetent and unaware of itself that it would clearly be offputting, even to normies. There was already almost nothing about the game that would be appealing to a straight, white male or previous fan of the series, but ham-fisted lectures about imaginary **** like pronouns puts it way over the top. If it was done in a way that had any stroke of artistry or objective quality they would have been trotting it around like a milestone achievement in gay fantasy fiction, but they know the whole game is just a piece of ****. They don't care about the content in terms of its values, but they know that the gay **** in this game in particular is the metaphorical millstone around its neck.
