Both these tweets convey equally repulsive informations
nah, the tweet on the right is unsurprising, the one on the left is fuckin foul.

I'm stating that this is 'confirmed' because it matches the language you see in most reviews. The request states specifically to not discuss the specifics of Taash's "personal journey".rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ October 31st, 2024, 03:15Confirmed that reviewers were explicitly told to not discuss Taash during their reviews, btw.
There apparently just isn't time for nuance when there are gods to fight, so every character either has an intensely personal journey with no wider ramifications or a revenge plot against an unquestionably evil person.
They don't have convictions that conflict with decisions I'm making as their leader and in fact put some of the biggest choices about their own personal journeys into my hands.
https://gamerant.com/dragon-age-the-vei ... rsonality/Rook's companions are each a member of the major factions I'm courting to our god-slaying cause, bringing with them faction-specific sidequests and their own personal journeys too.
https://www.rpgsite.net/review/16473-dr ... ard-reviewWhat players might find most intriguing about Taash is her complexity. While she bears a rough and seemingly impenetrable exterior, she is actually very gentle on the inside. As game director Corinne Busche revealed in a recent interview with IGN, Taash's character arc is one of introspection. Her personal journey sees her examining her own reflection in a mirror, attempting to discern her place in the world, her goals and intentions, and coming to an acceptance of who she is. More than likely, this softer side of Taash will be revealed the more players get to know her.
https://www.ign.com/articles/dragon-age ... varric-tooIt's reflected in the way the team's rooms start out as empty spaces in the Lighthouse (the game's extradimensional home base), but gradually grow more detailed, reflecting progress in both the main story and each companion's growth and personal journey. I
So I love the juxtaposition, actually, between Taash's personal journey and this imposing literal dragon slayer, that sort of hard exterior and really gentle interior. It makes Taash a really special companion for me.”
The funniest thing is that, normally, the average everyday gamer wouldn't really care that much that this type of game exists if it wasn't for the fact that these very same infantilized narcissistic bottoms are also actively trying to remove all the other games that aren't made by and for them in a childish attempt to force everyone to support their ****** fanfic platforms by creating a world were the games they make are the only games that exist.cleansingcarnage wrote: ↑ October 31st, 2024, 03:32it's a game made by those people, for those people. It's been said many times, but this is why bullying is necessary. If EA was so proud of this game and how "inclusive" and "Pro-LGBTQAPGTZ+" it is then they would have been plastering that scene everywhere. EA would have done so 4 years ago. Now they won't and are instead trying to hide it. Could it be that companies like EA know that this **** is unpopular and that the culture is turning the other way? Everything EA has done in regards to promotion approaching the launch shows they know they have a pile of **** on their hands and they're trying to eke out as many sales as they can before people can actually lay eyes on it in all its horror. Whether or not ignorance and blind, brand-name loyalty will allow them to crawl out of the abyss is yet to be seen, but they really didn't want the leaked scenes to come out when they did.
I think they just know the execution of it in this game was so incompetent and unaware of itself that it would clearly be offputting, even to normies. There was already almost nothing about the game that would be appealing to a straight, white male or previous fan of the series, but ham-fisted lectures about imaginary **** like pronouns puts it way over the top. If it was done in a way that had any stroke of artistry or objective quality they would have been trotting it around like a milestone achievement in gay fantasy fiction, but they know the whole game is just a piece of ****. They don't care about the content in terms of its values, but they know that the gay **** in this game in particular is the metaphorical millstone around its neck.RangerBoo wrote: ↑ October 31st, 2024, 04:28If EA was so proud of this game and how "inclusive" and "Pro-LGBTQAPGTZ+" it is then they would have been plastering that scene everywhere.
