Its now possible to only change specific lines
  1. Put your line changes in an english.xml file under the following structure
    YourMod/Mods/YourMod/Localization/English/english.xml

    Note: For a french translator this would be: YourMod/Mods/YourMod/Localization/French/french.xml
  2. Add the original line in this structure:
    Image
  3. Alter the lines and increase the version number of each line by 1
    Image
  4. Pack the mod using BG3 modding tool or official mod kit.
Important: lingo files no longer take notes or free text out side tags. If you add them, your game will crash.
Is there any special way to create an xml file? So game can read it properly?

I took a random .loca.xml file from one of the mods unpacked with bg3 modders multitool and just removed the .loca part. Then i've added and edited the required lines of text into that file and game reads the edit well
something like ISLIB ExportTool could be used too to change the format i guess, but it may be redundant

I just wanted to give a long overdue thank you to everyone involved in the creation of this mod.
I had pre purchased BG3 before all of the nauseating details of what was inside the were well known. When I found this mod it cleaned things up enough that I was able to go through a full playthrough. I still dislike almost every character in the game but that isn't the fault of anyone here and changing that would be beyond the scope of anything reasonable. Again thank you for your efforts and know that they are appreciated!

if you follow that structure, you can leave your file as english.xml (or yourlanguage.xml)

an xml is a glorified text file with <tag>some random text</tag> in it. In this case you need the xml version tag on the top, then contentList tag, then content tags.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<contentList>
<content contentuid="somehandleid" version="9">a line in BG3</content>
<content contentuid="anotherhandleid" version="9">another line</content>
</content>
</contentList>

I meant they don't post outside of the mod section
I understand this. But if they post something that majority disagrees with, take "communism is good" statement as something obvious for majority to disagree, for example, there will be some administrative restrictions?
What if someone advocates for pedophilia (without posting any child abuse pictures or cartoons)?

Edit: I'm obviously against pedophilia.

I'd add that advocating for communism is different from advocating for committing actual crimes. Being a communist is, sadly, not a crime.

(It should be legal to steal communists' stuff though. Mostly to make them practice what the preach.)

Back to the mod: @orinEsque , how is it going? Are there any patches left for BG3 or can we look forward to a definitive version after they're done ******* with the game?

The party it was supposed to outlaw still exists unbothered. So I'd say the act isn't actually enforced.

Yep, and that is my point. We have TONS of laws on the books that would put most of the government in jail, but nobody follows them.

Realised this mod prevents using strong type female body. Does that mean most if not all strong type female bodies are gone from the World too? I saw a mod that introduced larger women, can they not be replaced with that? Lack of fatties is kinda odd but not for woke reasons just for realism

Granted, the high-ranking wealthy nobles of the medieval period that never saw battle in their lives were indeed kinda overweight, and being fat itself was seen back then as a sign that you were rich asf. So seeing fat peasants would indeed be immersion-breaking.

Another thing. There are two female guards in the Umberlee temple, on two sides of a door. They have letters in their inventories that indicate a lesbian relationship between them.
You know, I found this very odd. Whenever people in this game carried personal letters it was never something innocuous. It was always to inform the player how very gay the deceased were. You'd think the number of straight tragic love letters would outnumber the gay ones but nope, 100% homosexuality density.

Makes you think doesn't it? :scratch-pipe:

Incidentally the game is also very bad at writing sympathetic gay characters that don't make me wish for Asmodeus to conquer the material plane. Vergil Astarion comes close but then they had to ruin it by including the last minute gay sobstory. It's completely unnecessary to boot, if anyone is braindead enough to not notice that Astarion likely took it up the *** at least once by the time of Act 3 then telling them won't make a difference; they're clearly braindead.

Honestly,I hate that I now have to weigh the lives of the tieflings (and assorted rewards) against getting to Act 3 without ear cancer after suffering through Dame Aylin's obnoxious presence.

Plenty of fat tribal women in hunter gatherer societies. Fat peasants would still be more common than roided female peasants. Supposedly monks were quiet portly.

I wonder if a mod like this one can be made for Veilguard, although you might end up cutting 50% of the game's content... which is probably for the best though...

Try 75-80%.
