I'm starting to think that these jurnos are just addicted to their sweet copium at this point.

I am sure the author has plenty of game experience to make such a statement

I can’t imagine being so ideological dogmatic that you will buy **** games that you dislike just because it’s fits your politics.

I get what you are saying but honestly if I see a game with a regular, white, male protagonist my interest is already +100. I could accept a lot less gameplay wise just for playing a regular dude every once in a while.

There’s a nostalgia to it that’s difficult to fully describe – it’s in the vibes, the graphics, the simplistic but extremely enjoyable gameplay.
The gameplay is just generic ubislop done worse and buggier, except you don't even get the openworld.

Are we at a point where games can only be AAA, and need to sell millions and millions of copies to be profitable?
What meaningless drivel. What year is it, 2008? AAA games are barely even made anymore because of the high risk involved, publishers shifted to making many smaller budget games.

also, I just learned that bandi namco bought the developer that made this. I thought they were just the publisher.

I think it's what someone already said in this site before; just a mere few years ago these activist-run companies were purchasing studios and ordering them to make woke slop expecting that by the time these ****** games were ready, all of humanity would already have been "fixed" and these games would have been celebrated for the ideology. And just like history shows, reality didn't align with the leftard commie delusions, and it never will.

Honestly, I've never heard of this series before. How'd they manage to get to a 9th game without me ever hearing about it? Were the previous ones all consoletrash or something?

One thing's for sure, apparently the name is dead on. It truly is Unknown.

Pretty sure "random word" + "random number" is just how these female protagonist games are named now.

The funniest thing is that Unknown 9 was supposed to be a multi-media spanning franchise that they hoped to expend beyond videogames, just like Concord was supposed to be.
I didn't know they actually had released a web series

~500 views for their last episode.
Need someone to watch the full web series and review it, thanks.

Laughed pretty hard at the "she's in the grass" segment.

“This decision correlates directly with the failure of the studio’s ambitious and courageous first project, a new IP with a rich transmedia universe,” Hoerdt said.
They put failure in scare quotes to imply that it wasn't actually a failure, but will say they're just quoting the CEO when called out on it. You think you hate journos enough, but you don't.

Probably the few remaining are just finishing up something else for bandai. I can't imagine they are funding another game for them.
