Ooh, I am giddy with anticipation to pirate this hunk of junk on day one. My feelings on the series have gone from genuine investment to apathy to now perverse curiosity. I can't wait to find out how the incompetent **** at nuBioWare butchered the game. It's probably gonna be as entertaining as Star Wars Outlaws with how bad it is.
"Oh, it all makes sense now, brother."
They are so desperate maybe @rusty_shackleford could ask for a couple of review keys

What's the steam playtime limit before you cant refund the game, I am curious how many people who will actually buy this garbage will just straight up refund it after seeing how **** the game is
2h at least. But its always up to Steam, not the dev or publisher. I successfully refunded Operencia after 3.7h with the comment that I did not realize its an old game previously released on Epic and I am not paying full price for old games.jebacdrkac wrote: ↑ October 24th, 2024, 08:09What's the steam playtime limit before you cant refund the game, I am curious how many people who will actually buy this garbage will just straight up refund it after seeing how **** the game is

2h. That is probably Cyberpunk, considering the pre-sale numbers and state of game at launch.WaterMage wrote: ↑ October 24th, 2024, 08:382h. They should just cut there losses and cancel the game with also the closure of BioWare as well. EA should focus on making sports games since they clearly have no interest in making thing else or just to incompetent to make one.
I am tempted for the first time in my gaming history to buy it, set my alarm clock to 1 hour (just in case) and refund it alongside a nice appropriate review.
Pretty sure Steam removes the review then as well, or at the very least its not counted towards the overall rating...Ilovecheezecake wrote: ↑ October 24th, 2024, 15:48I am tempted for the first time in my gaming history to buy it, set my alarm clock to 1 hour (just in case) and refund it alongside a nice appropriate review.

This game will be too cringe to watch on YouTube, much less play yourself.

Instead of buying and refunding it, just pirate it. A lack of a purchase likely says more overall than a refunded one.
Back when I was still cautiously optimistic, I intended to buy it, but I've decided to pirate it. If my worst fears are not confirmed, I'll buy it on sale at a later date. If they are confirmed, at least I won't have wasted my money, and I wouldn't be restricted by a refund window. At this point I'm hoping it's decent enough and not in-your-face with overt messaging so I can just focus on my adventures with the only two companions in the roster that interest me: the Crow and the Mortalitasi.
I'm still surprised and disappointed that there are only three male companions out of the small roster of seven. BioWare were so brazen about diving into the deep end of the pozz pool with this installment (when they were clearly only dipping their toes in with Inquisition), that I suppose the forced girl power rhetoric makes sense. I predicted back then that it was a bad sign of worse things to come for the series, and so far I've been proven correct. Again, I hope the worst of it is subtle or easy enough to ignore. I've been playing this series since Origins first came out back in high school, and it'd break my heart if things ended on such a sour note. Patrick Weekes ruins everything he touches; it amazes me that the original head writers allowed him to get away with hijacking their series and lore the way he did (same with Mass Effect).

Someone please do the needful and pirate the game, and then report back with your findings.

Everyone on this forum is a giant ****** because of this or that; get new material.
It's far more logical to pirate it than to buy it and refund it later.
I will be as constructive in my report as I can. I may love the series, but that did not keep me from being critical of Inquisition. I anticipate more of the same for Veilguard, though I'm still vaguely hopeful there are enough good qualities to make up for the inevitable bad, with mods also picking up the slack. Mods made Inquisition a much more enjoyable experience--likewise with BG3, but if the ****** aspects of Veilguard turn out to be the kinds of things mods can't fix, it would be a lot harder to turn a blind eye to it all (e.g. if the devs' agenda turns out to be interwoven with the story, mods can only do so much. Compare that to altering the disproportionate ethnicity ratios which would be a simple cosmetic mod, though one was sadly never made for Inquisition). It could also be so bad that no one would be willing to put forth the effort of making based mods for it in the first place, lol.

No, it's conclusively established that if you play this game you are a giant ******. And not just for free. Even if someone paid you to play the game, you would be a giant ****** for taking the money. No need to engage in mental gymnastics to rationalize and cope. Just go replay Origins if you like Dragon Age:Envergence wrote: ↑ October 24th, 2024, 20:54Everyone on this forum is a giant ****** because of this or that; get new material.

In a time when only bad games are made, one must get his enjoyment by playing the bad games that can be laughed at.
Apparently, they find it impossible to avoid playing this game, supposedly because they absolutely need to know what happens next in the story.
This, despite fully knowing that the team behind the game has no knowledge of the lore, and that even the trailer itself contained glaring mistakes.

In a series full of iconic old characters and Grey Wardens that would be all over this ****, we instead have the alphabet brown Tumblr corps nobody has ever heard of where the main character is some guy you meet in a random bar.
It's a clown show. Not even worth pirating to cringe at.

The game is God of War (2018) gameplay with a hunk of Guardians of the Galaxy party dynamics.
Not an RPG.
