I would be concerned his ambition would turn out like that baseball guy who used his money to start his own studio to make Kingdons of Amalur and all of the troubles that ensued.
I have zero expectations from doing any meaningful changes in gamers industry if tried to enter that field.

Cultural depth? Sounds something the EU would be happy to throw money at.

Does anyone here play any modern-day GZDoom stuff? I.E. Brutal Doom, all the neat Heretic/Hexen rpg mods, Strife, etc? Was thinking about starting a dedicated thread on the forum for it, reviewing different wads and etc. Also to laugh at ZDoom forum ********. Let me know what you think here, bc I play the **** out of a lot of these things.

I know nothing about these but they do sound intriguing.
I played some of Heretic and Hexen and enjoyed them for the run-n-gun fests they were.
Especially Hexen II. But that's a different Quake engine thing.
Did not like Heretic II though. That kinda sucked.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

Yes, love both Heretic and Hexen. In some ways they were more formative on me and what I like than Doom was.

Have you seen Brutal Heretic in action yet?

Nope. I know only of GZDoom's existence, and I've seen some videos with modern mouselook and advanced lighting.

I'll def make a thread soon then.

Plus the trannis can get a laugh that we are talking about them on here, filling them with negative hubris (along with the other stinky things they deal with internally).

Do ******** play Doom because they see themselves as the imps and they like to metaphorically blast their self image?

amalur became a cult classic btw
Other than its obvious console influences, it was actually a pretty good game.

That new DLC **** me off and is a terrible book end to the game story.

I never got that far. I find a lot of console game designs a bit... not my taste, so while I appreciated its effort, it wasn't something I really could get into. It has merit, and maybe some day I will try it again.

Also, I am more of a systems guy and tend to glaze over story, so I am definitely not a good judge of that area of play.

Remember when car games didn't have vehicle destruction because they were licensing real cars from manufacturers who wouldn't allow it? Very gay times. Does it still happen?

Terminator: Resistance is the Terminator 3 we never got.

You can clearly see Teyon love for the films in the game.

Man, Little King's Story is not only an underrated gem, but it has some stellar remixes of classical music. The intro song especially.

Man, this is such a great track. Especially if you consider the lore/background of the area. A very romantic and elegant track for a place that is not allowed to love.

Our Inclusive Game Design (“IGD”) team has the mission of embedding advocates, best practices, and innovations in all our games, to ensure that our games are the most diverse, welcoming, and inclusive. The option to view a range of accessibility features at the very start of a gaming experience is quickly becoming table stakes.
