Some updates (since i've been away so long)
  1. Now the Lingo File can be created without having to overwrite every **** line in game. Translators can also do this with the new system! (Tutorial)
  2. Finished updating all 1030 changed lines in NoAlphabets for patch 7.
  3. Finished updating Aesthetic mod.
  4. Used modding tool to generate portraits for all 22 NPCs that need them! No more screenshotted portraits yay! (Tutorial)
  5. TO DO: work on the Dialog Tree and Voice mod pack.
Note: I haven't updated the downloads page because I'd rather push it all in one go. And Aesthetics and Lingo works fine as it is anyway.

With this the [PAK]Lingo and hacky loose file Lingo files will be completely obsolete.
I am still rather busy with stuff. So can't promise anything within the next 2 week.
Patience is key.
Once again, thank you for your hard work.
There's no BG3 for many of us without your mod so we'll do our best to wait.

Or go on the endless quest of finding 10 normal people in Baldur's Gate 3 :-P

I hesitate to even inquire as to what this gibberish means...
Supposedly is a mix of "aromantic" and "asexual". I had to look that up the first time I saw it. lol
Both are disorders made into quirky traits. Just the way Twitter likes.

Didn't see a comment talking about this, but why does drow's corpse temporarily loses his pants in the cutscene with Nettie? Not only that, but the drow's model itself changes to another one as well. :pipe-thinking: I'd report it to Larian, but last time I sent them a letter they dismissed it with "lol, just turn off the mods" response.

I remember that drow but I do not recall that sort of thing happening, so I would say it might be the mods unless, as it usually is with this game, it was broken randomly by an update. It would be strange if they used two models for the game and cutscene though. If you have Speak with Dead you could try that and see if it affects that cutscene too.

I do think I have seen it without mods being involved. Speak With Dead though shows the model you see on the stone table, not the pants-less random one.

Unless otherwise proven, I would blame Larian then. I never saw such an issue before. I recall telling them Nere was not progressing his dialogue and it took others to report on it before they took it seriously (and by "seriously" I mean they just cut off his line, which I believe is still missing to this day).
For context on that for anyone interested, spoilers for the Underdark section.

After seeing just how much they cut out, including the vital Upper City part, accepting "we're not gonna make any DLCs/new content" was - still is - **** disappointing. Nere and Alfira as companions make sense unlike their precious Wyll the Pick-Me Girl, but what do I want from guys that botched the entire EA plot and presented completely different game upon the release?

Well, if the editor is everything it may be, I would assume anyone who wants to can take a crack at it and finish off all the areas that they didn't put in.

I really hope the game is restored, but it shouldn't be the player's job to do so, it should be the developer's. I myself would hold what they did to Baldur's Gate 3 as something to be charged by law as the product advertised and that people payed for was not what they released. I can already tell it will be brushed off as "but it was Early Access! Subject to change!". The best thing that could have happened to this game is the release of the Toolkit and all that are working hard to make it usable just so we can not have to deal with them anymore.

📥CCreator - v5.1 // 📥CCreator - No Genitals Version - v5.1
Image

  • Updated for Patch 7 and latest version of ImprovedUI
    • Mod is no longer an override, so you will have to place it higher priority ImprovedUI in your load order
    • Gonna have to start accepting large amounts donations if Larian breaks UI modding again!!!!!
  • Mod manager will warn you if you don't have ImprovedUI downloaded
    Image

Tried best to make this in a way where it won't conflict with other UI mods. Let me know if it's incompatible with any or if you guys run into any issues. I'll probably have to completely redo this in a few weeks lmao

UI modding seems REALLY scuffed right now and even the ImprovedUI guys haven't figured it fully out:

Editing Dialogue
Its now possible to only change specific lines
  1. Put your line changes in an english.xml file under the following structure
    YourMod/Mods/YourMod/Localization/English/english.xml

Note: For a french translator this would be: YourMod/Mods/YourMod/Localization/French/french.xml
  2. Add the original line in this structure:
    Image
  3. Alter the lines and increase the version number of each line by 1
    Image
  4. Pack the mod using BG3 modding tool or official mod kit.
Oh, Christ, ******* finally. Thank you so much for pointing this out.

I can finally stop having to create my own custom "unified dialogue" files.

Edit: I initially unthinkingly posted this in the tutorial thread, after following the link, but I figured that it would be more fitting to take the post here, as to not clog that thread up, so it's kept mostly as a repository and source.

Edit 2: Quick question: Am I correct in understanding that it is no longer necessary to convert this to .loca, either?

Edit 3: I can confirm that yes, all that is necessarily is the .xml, but on the other hand, files can no longer be annotated or left with gaps as they could before, which is incredibly frustrating.

Edit 4: And not only does it only work with .xml, it requires .xml, and it will in fact ignore any .loca-file(s). So it has to be an .xml-file with no annotations or gaps, or else it will not work or it will crash. It is possible to create a subfolder in the \English\ folder with an annotated version and it won't crash the game, but it does mean maintaining different files.

RIGHT!? It baffles me how this crowd is always the "never assume anyone's gender" crowd yet when they imagine someone who actively opposes their ideology they can't imagine the possibility that this someone is a woman, or a person of color. When orinEsque is both. kek

To be clear, I personally couldn't give a **** about assuming genders. We've done it since the dawn of time because it makes sense. However, they should be held to their own standards.

Thank you for making this mod. I wish I had found it in the early months of this year. I quite enjoy the builds and combat of BG3, but the progressive ideologue shite drove me nuts.
I've been reading through the early pages on this thread, so I know I'm late to the party, but thank you again for doing your part to put the "Medieval" back into "Medieval Fantasy".
To think I can enjoy my next playthrough without rolling my eyes at the 9:1 ***** alphabet ratio

I always recommend BG3 mod manager if you have many mods. Put No Alphabets in the bottom of your list and it will get highest priority.

Note: New voice mod isn't working: because I uploaded the wrong file
uploading new one now

This is a certified conservative classic post, "haha don't you know brown women are actually based and you're the real racists/sexists? :smug: "
