Apparently the UI for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is already bad enough to warrant someone making a nearly 20 minute video on how to fix it. It's so bad, the video makes a joke about the UI being bloatware and the game needing an ad block for its interface.
Didn't watch the full video, assumed its some engagement bait anyway, but **** the UI is indeed dogshit.
I wonder what's the designer's expectation of adding so much on-screen junk, basically forcing the player to spend 5 minutes looking for stuff in a 1 minute fight. Sounds like a great way to have 99% of the target audience not actually playing past the prologue.
Reminds me of this video (using Asmongold's reaction as there is always discourse about the topics discussed in his reactions)
In short, they add very short frames between scenes (fast paced) flashy saturated colors, and a lot of fluff happening that doesn't really have any substance to keep the toddlers' attention without actually teaching anything, ending up acting as a drug by over-stimulating the brain. I think it is the same, or they are trying to do the same, here by hoping to keep a player "hooked" by cluttering the screen with things that "are yet to be done" hoping they will feel forced to complete them all.

Love how the answer is usually the easies one: woman incompetence.

That's gonna haunt me for the rest of the week, thank you.

God it's always women. Just **** off out of our hobby. And this coincides with articles I see about men dropping out of the workforce, saying men don't want to work. Nah they just aren't getting hired anymore because they're White males, and these ******* imbeciles are getting hired instead.

Veilguard has yet to crack the top 100 weekly seller list on Steam. Yes, it includes preorders. Spess Muhrine 2 was on it for almost 2 months prior to release. Even KCD2 has been on it despite not releasing until next year.
Sparking Zero is currently a top 20 seller despite not releasing until next month. Planet Coaster 2, early Nov. release, has also cracked the top 100.
To summarize: the preorders are really low;
[edit]
Wait, I found two weeks where it cracked the top 100. Announcement week: rank 30, dropped to 93 next week, then gone.

Do you have any idea how important DA is for tumblr fujos and their ilk? No way Bioware won't cather to them.
They're 1% of the potential customers.
If I was in charge at Bioware, I'd disavow all games after Origins and make a new Dragon Age 2 (but call it something else) where Kirkwall and Orlais get decimated by the blight after Origins because of the scheming backbiting of Orlais and their nobles couldn't get their **** together and the rest of the world hates those *******.
Game 3 would be a super blight on the Qunari lands (that they caused by their own Qun stupidity) where you have to eventually join with the Tevinter mages left and genocide the commies to stop the blighted horde from becoming a critical mass.
Just burn the faggotry to the ground and relish the cries and tears of the freaks.
Games of the year for their respective years, I'd imagine.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.
>As long as I worked at BioWare, there was always a portion of the fanbase who wanted whatever we were doing to be more like the LAST thing. With NWN, it was BG2. With DAO, it was NWN. With DA2, it was DAO... and so on, always with bitterness.
Yeah, it's almost as if the **** you make is of worse and worse quality every time and people are realizing how much worse you can go with each new release.
All people like Gaider did was make me realize how wrong I was to be tolerant. You aren't allowed to oppose games being about ****** relationships with character creators that have surgically mutilated breasts because a game the developer released 15 years ago had a homosexual in it.
I mean this sincerely — Thank You, Gaider, for helping me see the error of my ways. You made me realize that tolerance is a vice, not a virtue.

Turns out the WH40K quote about an open mind being like an open fortress is true.
When your ideology is fundamentally unjustifiable on a moral basis (as pretty much all materialistic ideologies are), there isn't any real fundament to oppose anything except personal taste, and I suspect the main reason for why many of these types haven't yet fallen into promoting far more henious stuff is pure instinctual revulsion, not sincere moral commitment. It's only natural that as time passes more and more ideas, including blatant lies like ********, become acceptable, even if the reasoning behind it is thin.

Trangenderism opens many doors for them, such as transhumanism through the reduction of distinguishing human traits and the idea of children consenting to concepts of sexuality. When people say “it’s all connected” it just means that everything invariably goes back to the elites’ desire to avoid death and **** children.

Yuuuup, it's luciferianism all the way down, that's what people don't understand: Even if the elites don't personally believe in literal satan (even tho I am sure many do), their ideology and modus operandi aligns perfectly with the aspirations and cravings of that particular ideology. Power and control, even over human nature, language, over every definition as to be maleable and subject to their will and low desires, is the real ultimate goal.

I can already see someone "activating" the children from some dark, monitor infested, room and some Scary Movie type of CGI+costume depiction of toddlers in diapers start a massive brawl all over the world
Was Origins the only DA game worth playing? Have it installed, just haven’t gotten around to it
Yes.
Second one was a rushed, unfinished game. Inquisition was probably the first example of high budget gay race communism in video game form.
The DLCs are also pretty good. IMO you can just say the story ended at the end of the last DLC(Witch Hunt), and it's a fine ending. Not everything needs to be wrapped up. People who played it will know what I'm referring to.

Even though a lot of us hate Mass Effect 2 and/or 3, they're not even comparable to DA2 onwards. The good news is that DAO is a completely self-contained story, unlike ME1.
ME1+2+3 is probably about the same length as DAO+DLCs.
ME Andromeda is actually a better game than DA2 or Inquisition despite how much it got **** on. I think Andromeda was the first time I saw content creators doing 'ragebait' videos of a 6/10 game pretending it's the worst thing ever for views.

Holy ****
DA:O is pretty long, took me 90 hours the first time, 82 hours the second. I already had The Stone Prisoner but on top of that there's Warden's Keep (an hour), Return to Ostagar (an hour), Awakening (13-20 hours), Golems of Amgarrak (an hour) and Witch Hunt (2 hours).
There's also gimmicky crap like Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's Song but those weren't received well hence why future DA DLC just focused on campaigns involving your character.
Not really a good thing though, wouldn't have minded if half the combat encounters were removed.
Oh, Jesus, ****, this insufferable **** is in this game too.

At least there are three other VAs for the protagonist.
"Surely something as non-pozzed as GoT should get an awesome sequel"
