What does it mean "used for conversations"? Is it different from the one of the character screen or is it just worded that way to let the player know it only affects dialogue?

It's a pronoun selector. So your character can be a man who's referred to as a woman or vice versa. There's a preset appearance slider which determines if you're male or female, and the options are mixed together randomly.

What is "Woke" is ambiguous, because it goes beyond the basics of Civil Rights & "Equal opportunity." The latter were steps towards the Radical Leftism that is what self-identified itself as "woke" at one point. Much like how SJWs are the ones that chose the moniker "Social Justice Warrior."
