I am really liking the artstyle, it gives a sort of visceral feel that I really like. The movements and actions (with a wheel)

A lot of SEX, every two steps someone wants to sex you up.
No but seriously. If you go left, the character is a woman, if you go right the character is a man, sex changes in the middle and everything before that point makes your man or woman a bit more woman or man I think.

Because it changes the stats, and one can potentially make a more Xena-style woman, I would treat this as less of a woke thing than other games, especially because the sliders are strangely named ("head" is for hair style, while "hair" is for color), so "sex" measures the body in general as much as race does, though I would still be wary of it because of how such things spiral these days and would still add a warning in the woke list just in case.
There was no dialogue that referred to a singular character of the team as well, so it is always plural as they speak to the party as a whole.
- Here to show my support for normal gaming.

women and men do not have the same stats.
Funnily enough, I think some older versions of AD&D made it so that women had a Strength stat penalty, but this penalty was compensated with a bonus to the Charisma stat. kek

If I were a designer for an RPG, I would still give women the Str penalty but would compensate it with a bonus to the Dexterity stat instead. This would encourage female builds to focus more on ranged combat or as sneaky rogues that rely on ambush attacks and dodging, which I believe would fit fantasy women combatants more than the tall muscle-heads we usually see today.

Gygax didn't believe women are inherently more dexterous than men are. Too lazy to go hunt down the source, but he asked anyone to prove to him that women are better acrobats, etc., than men are.

In my mind, I always imagined that "flexibility" would translate more into the Dexterity stat than the Constitution stat, and I do think that women's bodies are definitely more flexible when compared to men. In general, at least.

I don't think flexibility will be helping a lot unless they get captured.
It's very un-PC to say, but women are just worse overall in terms of adventuring because the male gender was meant to be the one that … went on adventures. Shocking.

Agree with the men are just better overall for adventuring.

I was instead suggesting some other bonus to compensate for the Str penalty since - this might just be me - I haven't met enough "charming" women in my life to justify giving them a Charisma bonus in an RPG. I guess this might be a product of our modern times cuz most of the women I have met have been self-absorbed ***** who don't know what accountability means. lol

I think men tend to conflate childbirth with passing bladders tones. Comparing something women naturally ought to be able to do, if they're fit & healthy, with a womanly pelvis, to something that a man's body is not designed to cope with.

Having abdominal cramps every month is pretty ****, but in every survival challenge I've seen, something that requires a lot of endurance, women lag behind the men.

Mind you the game is in early access by an unknown indie studio so isn’t surprising that people are not willing to buy the game in a incomplete state.

They also had one okayish game and one awful game.

"Import Serpent in the Staglands save file" sounds interesting. I wonder what story states would carry over.

It also doesn’t help there been zero buzz for this game and looking at YouTube there’s very little coverage .

It’s understandable that they have little marketing money to play with but still maybe they could haven given more game keys to YouTubers who specializes in those types of games.

I bought it a day or two after release. It is already fairly cheap and was still 15% off at the time so I figured I didn't have much to lose. I haven't installed it yet and probably won't for a few years at least. I don't have much confidence that the eventual version 1.0 out-of-early-access release will be a fully fleshed out and complete game with their every stated goal being realized. It will probably be a janky, technically inept mess with decent art direction, some unusual story beats, half-baked combat mechanics, extra half-baked "RPG" implementations, multiple game breaking bugs and what appears to be a substantial amount of missing content, just like both of their other games. But, even though that may be true, it will still likely have something undeniably charming and paradoxically enjoyable about it from the viewpoint of a jaded, aging, old-school RPG "fan" who finds the modern troonpozzed goyslop pushed on to the masses absolutely detestable and who would rather play a broken half-realized game made by a small indie team who suffers from more imagination than actual talent than to play even one second of one of the endless number of broken fully-unrealized games shoveled out by the 2 or 3 dystopic corporate ultragiants which have bought out and crushed so so many of those occasionally interesting AA studios over the past 5-10 years and whose only real goal when releasing next product isn't the game itself, but strategizing and agonizing over just how they might be able to convince little Timmy to get xerself into a dress.

Quite impressive for just two people to be behind this. Will pick it up eventually, even with the jank combat. It's reminiscent of the faults of VtM Redemption, so I'm better acclimatized to it after this month's guild pick.
