Looks like somethings been brewing over there.

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/spiders-w ... management
Workers at French studio Spiders have announced a strike planned for the week starting September 2.

A committee representing employees has published an open letter via union STJV, going through the alleged issues at the Nacon-owned studio, spanning several years.

44 workers out of Spiders' 95 staff signed the Spiders Action Committee letter as of August 27, with the strike to take place on September 2 and 3 in front of Spiders' offices and online on a Minecraft server set up for the occasion.
and online on a Minecraft server set up for the occasion.

Let me guess they want unions.

This is just another example of gamedev industry being inflated. Not a single gamedev deserves a paycheck in six digits. It's time to treat the gamedevs like what they are, replaceable cattle whose """"work"""" can be outsourced to india and some ****** will do it for one tenth of the paycheck, at a faster pace and a similiar level. Spiders has never made a good game, Spiders has never made a game worth purchasing or playing. So realistically they should go under and the devs should take pay cuts until they can muster some slop up, but they are instead protesting and crying about gender inequality. Democracy was a mistake, the only whitepill is that when all democratic countries inherently head for extinction that humanity will be in good hands with authoritarian and primitive BVLLs from Asia and Africa. Good riddance.

Hard truths but needs to said.I have little sympathies for devs since they have a common habit of ******** on there own audience that pays there bills.

From their website.

Gender Equality Index
For the year 2023, we obtained a score of 94/100 on the Gender Equality Index. This result is informed by the four indicators put in place by French law (law No. 2018-771 of 5 September 2018 and decree No. 2019-15 of 8 January 2019). These legal and regulatory measures aim to eliminate the pay gap between men and women in companies and are as follows:

Gender pay gap : 40/40
Difference in the rate of salary increases between men and women: 35/35
Percentage of employees who returned from maternity leave and received a raise upon return: N/A
Number of employees of the under-represented sex among the employees who received the highest salary: 5/10

The plebs have won.
https://www.gamedeveloper.com/business/ ... k-policies
In a statement sent to Game Developer by Spiders management, the company stood by its previous claim that statements about poor conditions at the company made by the Video Game Workers Union (STJV) were "false and defamatory"...before announcing that the studio had negotiated new pay raises and other improved quality-of-life policies with employees.

It France why did you expect. This is the same country that at one point made it illegal to fire people when a company had more then 50 people.

neither the less there games are mediocre and there upcoming game Greedfall 2 isn’t disproving that notion.

What they mean is they want all women and <insert non-white here> to be paid twice as much as the white men.

If people actually knew the pay scale gap ins some companies, white men would be ****** right now because they are getting raked over the coals in a lot of major corps who bought into the whole "pay gap" thing. I know a guy who worked at a major corp in management who was paid 1/2 (that's right, 1/2) the wage of his ****** woman counter part. They did the same job, same responsibilities, but she was paid double and this isn't all too uncommon with this crap.

The one positive thing in the impending economic downturn is that DEI hires will be out of the job because companies can’t afford to waste money on useless personal who are there because they fill a check boxes.

Logically, you would think that, but it doesn't always occur. Some will sink the entire company before that happens. Seen it recently with a friend. His company was completely mismanaged to extreme levels for years with this kind of garbage and combined with standard economic factors, the company did try to restructure and layoff, but not as you would expect, they laid off the people who actually did the work and provided value. The result is that the company couldn't rebound and is closing its doors because the "problem people" are the ones who made all the decisions on restructuring to save the company.

The sad thing is, they will all take their fancy resumes of various leadership roles and get picked up quickly at some other company to repeat the cycle. There is a reason this type of situation often results in a collapse of an entire economic system. Look at the government, filled with these types, do you think they are going to get rid of themselves or is it more likely they will just run it into the ground and then jump ship to safety as it sinks as well?

Typical pattern for liberals/leftists that can be seen in every aspect of their lives. Liberals create hellhole by voting in people and policies that explicitly say they'll create a hellhole. Liberal doesn't like the multicultural cesspit he helped create, so he moves to new location, that always happens to be a predominantly white community. Liberal then proceeds to vote for the same policies that made him flee his previous locale.

These "people" are like locusts, they will ravage and destroy everything in their sight if they are not exterminated.

At least with corporations incompetence leads the company being bankrupt for bad decisions. Government on the other is so much worse of doing the same things but being rewarded for your incompetence, it’s the personification of moral hazard.

They added a RT mode to the combat. That's actually a good compromise. ******* that were complaining about the combat system got their nonsense, and they (hopefully) didn't touch rtwp.

Looks like it lets you prepare multiple commands like NWN/NWN2 did, except it also shows the planned commands.
Did any RTwP game since NWN/NWN2 do that?

I thought that Greedfall and other Spiders games were third-person action RPGs, so I've completely ignored this. Is that a screenshot from Greedfall 2? If so, I may be interested.

They've mostly been the same until Steel Rising (Souls clone) and now GreedFall 2. The first game doesn't play like this.
