When you open the map it'll let you scroll between 3 sets of markers

Purple ones that you set
Green ones that are interactbles / exits on maps / etcs I believe
Blue ones that are people in your party.

AFAIK that's it - maybe an addon expands it.

For anybody not in the Horizon Discord, there's a maintenance tomorrow (the 13th) at 7 PST/10 EST. Apparently there's normally one every week at that time. They didn't say how long it would last.

For anyone sick of the incessant fireworks due to the ongoing event, this is a mod someone originally posted on the Discord server that disables it.

The zip contains a polplugins folder; extract that to the same directory that already has a polplugins folder, which is here: \Horizon XI\HorizonXI\Game
This will add a new option under Settings > Pivot in your launcher that you can enable to mute the fireworks sound effects.
Now we don't have to transfer to Bostok.

Since today a lot of people were levelling up jobs below level 10 and we can't party sync down past level 10, making it impractical to level together as a party, Finarfin and I decided to knock out mission 2-3 which entailed riding across Mindartia and Quon.

Really love the vast, desolate wilderness of Vana'diel, but it looks pretty and not like a brown late 2000s mudshooter. Reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus which also looked pretty (on PS2, not the so-called "remaster").

Try going into Config in game and changing the controls to 'full-size'. The manual lists those controls here.

Oops, I misread the chart. Some post online says this:
One of the settings will have a keyboard mode, Full or Compact, and Compact allows you to change all the keybindings. Full is not changable.
If you've already tried that and it didn't work, then I don't know. I've only played on controller so far.

@rusty_shackleford, I'm not seeing an easy fix. It seems like you'd have to make an Autohotkey script or reassign the numpad keys at the OS level.

EDIT: I can confirm that running an ahk script as administrator to rebind numpad keys to arrow keys for camera control works on Windows. I hadn't realized, though, that Autohotkey doesn't officially exist on Linux. I see a reimplementation for Linux exists on github, so maybe you can try that.

Using input-remapper (linux) to remap camera controls + select to keypad, I play entirely with the keyboard now.
https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper

1234 6789 on the keypad are mapped to arrow keys or combo of arrow keys, 5 is mapped to enter. Lets me move the camera and use them to navigate menus + select things.

[edit]
Also, I set the fps divisor to 0 and use vsync(via dxvk, but I assume you guys can use your GPU software or something on windows). I was getting stutters with /fps 1

Yes, you definitely want this. Drop-in replacement for buff-bar that you can read & hover over.

very useful:
https://github.com/ThornyFFXI/tHotBar

Lets you create a standard MMO-like hotbar layout.
ctrl + click the button to assign a bind. Check the readme.
Yes, it's an approved addon.

need to read how to change the keybinds/per-job config, but I'll do that later.

[edit]
latest commits with submodule needed: https://f.rpghq.org/LGBF1RkVR3BT.zip?n=thotbar.zip
just extract the directory(NOT the contents) to your `HorizonXI/Game/addons/` directory

Hide Party Hide the game's party frames!

Simple addon that will enable the ability to hide the game's party frames. This has been heavily requested lately with all the custom UI addons being made.

Please note: The way this addon works is by setting the primitives to not draw at all, however this comes with side effects. For example, the target cursor arrows are attached to the actual target window. Meaning while it is also hidden with this addon, it will not be possible to see your selected target easily.

Code: Select all

Commands:
/hideparty - Toggles showing and hiding the party and target frames.
/hideparty help - Shows this help information.
/hideparty (h|hide) - Sets the party and target frames to be hidden.
/hideparty (s|show) - Sets the party and target frames to be visible.
hideparty.zip
And the change that would allow the target cursor to remain visible: https://github.com/AshitaXI/Ashita-v4beta/pull/7
