Yeah, that's all we need is for people to come around here who don't do anything but ******* shill their games. The Codex already has several people who do that and we already have a bunch of eaters who do nothing but register to download mods.

As long as people can **** on them I don't see the problem, UNLESS it is some sort of flood of threads. THAT will start to feel like ads more than anything, especially with the cluttering that will create. Brother Chad has engaged and posted things before making this thread that I recall, though it did took rusty and others to address he might be the developer in the video before he admitted to it, the main post being just the video of the trailer that could have very well been posted by anyone for any game. He does introduce himself in the ending of the trailer, but I, for example, would not have guessed he was they guy just from that, as posts here are at times just a video to open the discussion about it more than the person in the video posting it themselves. Hope I am making sense, today is quite the day for me

The cool thing about being completely in control, I also get full accountability. I have no plans to pander or have DEI policies, or whatever the word is now. But the game will be diverse due to the setting and it won't be forced.

Guessing by the fact it’s one man project I say two to three years.

I say this because this is really low for what your game is attempting to do. Studios doing similar games like you ask 4X the kickstarter goal.


9.What was the reasoning behind the switch from originally using RPG marker to unreal engine?

10.Will the squad team be random generated characters or be pre set or companion characters with full subs stories?

11.Why made you decide to take on such a project?

By what I seen of your previous games which were Small 2D RPG Adventures ,a Turn-based first person / Isometric tactical RPG is quite a big jump both in scale and ambition.

While I do like what I seen in the trailer that quite frankly is very impressive for single developer with little funding. However I would be remiss in not having some concerns that this game is a bit to ambition for one man. Even when outsourcing some of the most time consuming aspects of game development ( store bought assets, AI, volunteer help, etc)

I don’t want to be negative and I truly hope for the best for you in succeeding In the kickstarter campaign thank you taking the time to answer my questions.

4. Yeah, but AI's not ready and if I have the money I'd rather get real people
5. It wasn't a final attempt to convince myself I have a future in gamedev, it was my final attempt to actually secure a decent budget for a good game. So semantics, I guess.
6. Yes. I already put out an old demo. New demo is in development.
7. Switching to a more flexible and scalable engine is probably the biggest lesson.
8. Yeah, like I explained in the Kickstarter, I would use my own money to make up the rest. It would be a pretty painful ride, but I've done it before.
9. RPGMaker is too limited. I was getting to the point where I was using workarounds for bandaid solutions.
10. Both.
11. A project of this scale was always the plan. It was really just when I left RPGmaker for another engine that I was unsure on.
