Remind's me of Roman descriptions of british.
the romans described everyone they couldn't conquer as animalistic ugly savages, every time they got kicked out of celtic territory they would mald about bogs

Thanks Gastovski. I won't use it, mainly because I already got my own list and I'd rather not lose my current list.

I’ll probably relapse into Skyrim modding in a few months. Been meaning to refine my list and make it into a modpack. I’d have to play through all those quest mods to see which ones are actually worthwhile. Anyone have any notable stinkers so they can save me some time? In particular I’d like to know if Beyond Reach is quality. That one looks promising and a lot of people say it’s good, but a lot of these people also say Serana Dialogue Add On ( :yuck: ) is good.

It's the best Skyrim quest mod in terms of writing easily.

Only quest mods that I explicitly remember enjoying were Wyrmstooth and Undeath with Classical Lichdom. Wyrmstooth especially shows how well a simple adventure hook can work. If only more mods were about that instead of the author’s Mary Sue waifu.

Only thing about Beyond Reach I'll say has some issues is the difficulty is a massive spike from vanilla Skyrim and it does have some kinda gimmicky set piece moments. It's been updated since I last played so not sure if there's been any major changes but there's a lot of underutilized content that the author plans to flesh out in the future including a post ending quest/world state for one of the endings.

Not really. Most I can do is use MO2 and click sort, kek.

The entire point of games is to be fun btw
Fun is overrated and can be accomplished by just turning your brain off, I want immersion, consistency and atmosphere, that is much more hard to get.

Big Red Dog wrote: August 18th, 2024, 14:40

highlights like all of the guild quests and all of the brotherhood quests and the entire main story and most of the side quests
Having played Oblivion before playing Skyrim and having played Morrowind after both, I have to say, my hot take is that Oblivion is the worst of the three. The level scaling, the radiant ai and the uncanny npcs kills the game, you just can't take anything serious in it

Since when does fun mean turning your brain off? That's usually the onset of boredom.

Because it's a lot of nothing being hyped up with infinite teasers. Its been 6 years since Bruma was released and projects a quarter the size of Cyrodiil can't even manage that.

To be fair Beyond Reach was pre-discord so he had a lot of free time from not grooming minors and getting into petty power struggles on there.

It's very amusing to me that mythic dawn members in Oblivion still carry shoes but aren't able to wear them since the robes fill the shoe slots already

Seems like at some point you'd just be flying around at light speed one-shotting every enemy unless there's some severe level scaling with this much play area.

One of the reasons I think the entire project is misguided and ultimately a waste of time. The other provinces at least have something fresh to offer where you could essentially be making your own TES game in the engine but why do you need more Morrowind? The gameplay and aesthetic will get stale very quick.

The mainland is different. Vvardenfell is a wild west volcano island. There's no reason to run out of stuff to do with the mainland. Plus, the otjer provinces suck.

the idea they had for tes3(doing the entire continent piecemeal) was already done by ESO, so if that's what you wanted to see, go play it
